She was fair to Michael in 95, but over the years, she kinda joined
the band-wagon with using him for rating in a negative way. I'll always
prefer her over Oprah, Bashir, and the other "journalist" named Diane.

Well, I am not sure about her ever being fair. Her interview with him wasn´t that bad, but maybe she wasn´t too harsh with him since he agreed to give her an interview. Just like Bashit, real nice to his face, disgusting behind his back. The way she has kept on changin her attitude over the years to get the highest ratings makes her a b****, to me.

Translation from AllJackson's from Facebook

According to their aunt, the late King of Pop's children are "finally happy again". What their lives look like now:

The 53 year old told BUNTE: "We try to make them laugh, to make them forget everything." Prince Michael (13), Paris (12) and eight year old Prince Michael II, called Blanket, live with their grandmother Katherine in the family's estate. "They are always with other children," said La Toya Jackson, "They have a pool, a pond, a skating rink and an enclosure." Prince owns an iguana, Paris has three cats and looks after La Toya's dog. About 20 employees take care of the children. "The gardener comes to walk the dog.".

According to his aunt, Blanket is incredibly shy and rarely speaks, but "dances the entire time. It is unbelievable, he moves just like his dad. Prince is into electronics, spends a lot of time with technical equipment." Paris speaks of her father a lot, says La Toya to BUNTE. The girl is an "extraordinary talent" playing piano. "Sometimes, when I see her sweet face, it just cheers my heart - I would love to just hug her and explain so many things to her," says aunt La Toya, "But I have to restrain myself, the wounds are still too fresh."

Michael Jackson had passed away last June, at age 50.

I rember watching this, back when BET was good, my whole family would watch the BET awards. We were so happy to see Michael and see how much everybody loved him and accepted him and to see that no matter how big he was, he was never too big to be humble in the presence of his idol, he was still like a little kid, starstruck and crying in the presence of James Brown.

I rememebr things were really heating uo around him with the Bashir doc, and aftyer i saw this, I thought, "oh, wow, everythings gonna be alright, we still love u Michael." I would NEVER had guessed things would get so much worse only like a year later, What a nightmare. sad

We don´t have BET over here so I saw the show online later on, but i remember seeing the pictures for the first time. I didn´t have internet back then, so I saw them at the library and I wanted to scream looking at those pictures. He looked so hot. It was just great to see him again looking hot like that cause he had a period of looking quite bad before the awards.

Yeah, that was a great moment, MJ was very humble. I remember when I saw the awards back in 2003, it was like escapism from the mess that MTV did to him in 2002.

Believe it or not, I thought Michael was attractive until 1996. I didn't mind him white and with the thin nose. It was different, but still attractive. I had no snobbery about his surgery, hair, or makeup, and I didn't mind him changing, as long as he stayed attractive. I paritcularly liked how he looked in the Bucharest DVD. Very beautiful. nod

But whatever was goin on with his face when Invisible came out? I just couldn't... sigh

Speaking of MTV in 2002. What the heck REALLY happened?? I'm confused because Mike read his acceptance speech from a piece of paper (meaning, he prepared it in advance because he thought he was getting this award). I remember when I first watched it, I was like "ok, he got another Millenium award" I didn't catch that Britney was giving him a birthday award. And then MTV put it on their most embarassing moments list and all I kept thinking was... who the hell gives out a BIRTHDAY award??! Was Michael playing them or vice versa? I thought it didn't make sense. Thoughts?

His management told him it was artist of the millenium and I remember very well about 5 days before it was presented they were saying his birthday was coming up and he would get that award. After he got it and the WTF, MTV edited their website to make it look like a birthday award when before they did that it did say Artist of the Millennium, but mj got blamed.

The 2002 Video Music Awards were held on August 29 of that year. That date also happened to be Michael Jackson's birthday, so as a way of celebrating the day and honoring the man, MTV threw an impromptu birthday party for Jackson during the show.

Britney Spears was drafted to introduce Jackson and present him with a giant birthday cake. During her speech to set up the event, Spears praised Jackson's work (she's a big fan) and referred to him as the "artist of the millennium." She brought Jackson out and presented him with the cake, but that's when things got a little awkward.

In what became a signature moment in VMA history, Jackson began giving an acceptance speech thinking he had been presented with an award called "Artist of the Millennium." In an uncomfortable moment (later lampooned the following year by Jack Black), Jackson talked about his childhood in Indiana and how appreciative he was for this honor. Everybody was slightly confused, but eventually the audience at Radio City Music Hall went along with it and gave Jackson an ovation when he was finished.

I remember watching it and would swear on my life that when it was first broadcast it even ran with a SUPER that read Artist of the Millenium Award. Then I think after the flack they got because of the award they decided to change it.

Normally I reject conspiracy theories, but I think MJ probably did his "I'll turn up if they give me an award" and either MTV of his people told him he was winning the artist of the millenium award - thus the prepared speech.

All things aside, it was a ridiculous award to have anyway, and when there was a bit of instant flack thrown MTV's way they changed it saying Michael must have misheard.

Funny how after his death they had it back up on their site saying he was awarded it.

There's no way that whole fiasco was a misunderstanding. I always thought this was tied to MJ's public disagreements with Sony and Tommy Mottola. Just another way to make Michael look ridiculous so that people wouldn't take his other comments seriously.
