Jermaine on the "Jacksons: A Family Dynasty": "Michael's success comes from us."

This is the confirmation of what I feared: Jermaine thinks he, along with Joseph, created Michael.

I read in "Man in the Mirror" that Jermaine used to yell at Michael the following: "I created you so you do what I want you to do."

They feel sooooo entitled to Michael's money and success. In fact, they REALLY think Michael owed them the world and that he has no credit whatsoever for his success. I wonder if they ever said "thank you" to Michael.

it gets even better:

Judge delays arguments on Joe Jackson's allowance request

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Michael Jackson's father will have to wait until next month before a judge decides whether he'll get a monthly allowance from the pop star's estate.

Joe Jackson, who was not included in his son's will, is asking for as much as $20,000 a month.

(snip)

The estate executors have not filed any objections to Joe Jackson's request for a monthly allowance, although lead lawyer Howard Weitzman did not rule out the possibility it would be contested.

Katherine Jackson, 79, supports her husband's request for a monthly allowance, her probate lawyer, Adam Streisand, said last month.

The petition of Joe Jackson, the 81-year-old patriarch of the Jackson family, said he has been financially dependent on Michael Jackson for years. It estimated that his monthly expenses come to $15,000.

Jermaine Jackson said it was ridiculous that his father even had to ask.

"That shouldn't even be," Jermaine Jackson told CNN. "The fact is my father is the estate. He created the estate."

*****

when katherine petitioned the court for an allowance, *if* it is true that she regularly gave money to joe that was sanctioned by mj, she should have included that from the outset as a legitimate expense. to the extent that mj's will states that it intentionally omits any heirs not expressly mentioned, and also since katherine has not provided a declaration under oath attesting to the things joe is stating in his motion, i think the judge should deny his request. (isn't it strange that katherine 'approves' him getting an allowance but hasn't verified joe's version of events? who cares if she 'approves' since she's in no position to authorize any payments?!)

if the judge approves the allowance, what is to prevent people like jermaine, who like joe believes the family is entitled to mj's money b/c they 'made' him, from asking for their own allowance? what was the point of making this will and trust, and can any of us who have wills be assured that our wishes will be upheld when we're gone?

ON EDIT: yep, just as i thought
http://perryestateplannin...log/?p=191

Joe Jackson is reported to be seeking “some manner” of support from the Michael Jackson estate.

(snip)

Under California Probate Law, during the time Michael’s case is still pending in the probate court, prior to final distribution to the named beneficiaries, family members may petition the court for a "family allowance." Top priority for family allowances go to a surviving spouse and minor children, but parents, and sisters and brothers can also ask for a temporary allowance.

It’s totally up to the probate court judge to decide if someone deserves a monthly family allowance. The judge is allowed to a give an allowance if his or her discretion determines an allowance is necessary for the family member’s maintenance according to his or her circumstances. An allowance is possible if it can be shown that a parent of the decedent was actually dependent in whole or in part upon the decedent for support.

(snip)

If the court gives Joe an allowance it will be interesting to see if Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon, Rebbie, LaToya, Randy, and Janet follow with their own petitions to the court.

*****
bet you a nickel that if joe's petition is granted, others will also petition. it will take a year or more to move the estate thru probate, katherine may not live to see her big 40% proceed payment, and there would go the family's opportunity to get money from the estate thru her. you better believe they're going to be demanding an allowance if the judge approves joe. once the precedent is set, how is he going to say no?

Just so Michael's kids are taken care of and Janet is successful, that
is where my hopes stop as far as this whole situation with The Jacksons
future, Jermaine, Joe, and all of it.As for the rest of The Jacksons,
wish them well, but with MJ being gone, I couldn't care less how greedy
that family wants to be. Just so Janet is successful, Michael's kids are
loaded with cash to do whatever they please, and could we get another 3T album?
Please? biggrin

Random thought:
Currently I like listening to Michael's demos, as they make me feel more "connected" with him, since he has passed. I know that sounds weird.
I never imagined life without him being alive and having that peace

Hey guys, need a help with the lyrics of Do the Bartman

Homer: Bart. Bart. Bart. *smash* BART!
Bart: I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. You can't prove anything.

Bart: Yo! Hey, what's happening, dude?
I'm the guy with the rep for being rude.
Terrorizing people wherever I go,
It's not intentional, just keepin' the flow.

Fixin' test scores to get the best scores.
Droppin' banana peels all over the floor.
I'm the kid that made delinquency an art;
Last name Simpson, first name Bart.

I'm here today to introduce the next phase,
The next step in the big Bart craze.
I've got a dance real easy to do;
I learned it with no rhythm, and so can you.

So move your body if you've got the notion,
Front to back in a rock-like motion.
Now that you've got it, if you think you can,
Do it to the music -- that's the Bartman.

Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Whoa!
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Shake it out, man!
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Bartman!
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: Uh-huh.
Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart:
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Whoa, mama!
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Whoa.
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.

Bart: It wasn't long ago, just a couple of weeks,
I got in trouble, yeah, pretty deep.
Homer was yellin',
Homer: BART!
Bart: Mom was too,
Because I put mothballs in the beef stew.

Punishment time, in the air lurks gloom,
Sitting by myself, confined to my room.
When all else fails, nothin' else left to do,
I turn on the music, so I can feel the groove.

Back: Move your body, if you've got the notion.
Bart: Whoa, I'm feelin' the groove now, baby!
Back: Front to back in a rock-like motion.
Bart: Bring it back, whoa!
Back: Move you hips from side to side now.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
Back: Don't ya slip, let your feet glide now.
Bart: Whoa, Lisa. Ha!
Back: If ya got the groove, ya gotta use it.
Bart: Ha, ha ha!
Back: Light rhythm in time with the music.
Bart: Ha, haha. Check it out, man.
Back: You just might start a chain reaction.
Bart: If you can do the Bart, you're bad like Michael Jackson.

Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Oh, yeah!
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Shake yo body!
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Huhp!
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: Yeah, do the Bartman.
Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Everybody, yeah, do the Bartman.
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Shake it out.
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Whoa, mama.
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: I'm bad, I'm bad!

Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
Everybody back and forth, from side to side.
Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
Pick your feet up off the floor, let 'em glide!
Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
She can do it, he can do it, so can I.
Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
Now here's a dance beat that you can't deny.

Homer: Turn it down! Will you stop that infernal racket?!
Back: DO THE BARTMAN!!!

(Lisa plays saxophone)

Bart: Oh, my ears! Lisa! Put that saxophone away!
You can't touch this. *clatter*
I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. You can't prove anything.

Oop!

Now I'm in the house, feeling good to be home,
Till Lisa starts blowing that damn saxophone.
And if it was mine, you know they'd take it away,
But still I'm feeling good, so that's okay.

I'm up in my room, just a singin' a song,
Listen to the kick drum, kickin' along.
Yeah Lisa likes jazz; she's their number one fan,
But I know I'm bad, 'cause I do the Bartman.

Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Hey, everybody!
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Need I remind you?
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Ooh, I am Bart, Bart-man.
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: Huh. Shake it out.

Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
Everybody back and forth, from side to side.
Back: Do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman!
She can do it, he can do it, so can I.

Back: Move your body, if you've got the notion.
Bart: Move it.
Back: Front to back in a rock-like motion.
Bart: Swing it!
Back: Move you hips from side to side now.
Don't ya slip, let your feet glide now.
If ya got the groove, ya gotta use it.
Bart: Dooby, dooby, dooby, dooby doo wop bop bop!
Back: Light rhythm in time with the music.
Bart: Dabba doo, dabba doo, dab it!
Back: You just might start a chain reaction.
Bart: Dabba dab doo dab
Hee, hee, hee. I'm a Bartman.

Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Swing it, baby.
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Bart: Hoo-uh.
Back: Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Oh yeah. I'm bad. Real bad.
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: Whoa, mama.

Back: Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman.
Bart: Do the Bartman.
Back: Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man.
Front to the back, to the side if you can, can.
Bart: Ha, ha!
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Bart: Oh yeah!

Back: Do the Bartman.

Back: Move your body, if you've got the notion.
Bart: You call that dancing? Ha!
Back: Front to back in a rock-like motion.
(Do the Bartman)
Bart: Watch this move.
Back: Move you hips from side to side now.
(Everybody in the house do the Bartman)
Bart: Ooh, uh uh, uh, ai ai. Yeah!
Back: Don't ya slip, let your feet glide now.
(Do the Bartman)
If ya got the groove, ya gotta use it.
Bart: Ha, ha ha! Swing it!
Back: Jack your body in time with the music.
You just might start a chain reaction.
Bart: Eat your heart out, Michael! Woop!
Back: Everybody in the house do the Bartman.
Do the Bartman.

Homer: YOU'RE GROUNDED!!
Bart: Oh, wow, man.

Could you please explain the highlighted phrases?

And what does Bartman mean? Is it a name for the dance? Thanks.

Okay so the phrases

"Keepin' the flow" - Slang for like keeping things going well, I would imagine. It could be a sexual reference but being that it was a kid's song, I doubt it. How old is Bart supposed to be? lol

"Eat your heart out" - Idiom Definitions for 'Eat your heart out'
If someone tells you to eat your heart out, they are saying they are better than you at something.

Source:

So in the song Bart was saying he was better than MJ as a joke, because the dance was a dance, and who is the most famous dancer on the planet? MJ.

Lastly, The Bartman was a dance. Peep the video to see it in action.
Sorry about the low quality. The only real version I could find.

when katherine petitioned the court for an allowance, *if* it is true that she regularly gave money to joe that was sanctioned by mj, she should have included that from the outset as a legitimate expense. to the extent that mj's will states that it intentionally omits any heirs not expressly mentioned, and also since katherine has not provided a declaration under oath attesting to the things joe is stating in his motion, i think the judge should deny his request.

(snip)

If the court gives Joe an allowance it will be interesting to see if Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon, Rebbie, LaToya, Randy, and Janet follow with their own petitions to the court.

bet you a nickel that if joe's petition is granted, others will also petition. it will take a year or more to move the estate thru probate, katherine may not live to see her big 40% proceed payment, and there would go the family's opportunity to get money from the estate thru her. you better believe they're going to be demanding an allowance if the judge approves joe. once the precedent is set, how is he going to say no?

Exactly. Everyone will want an allowance.
