MICHAEL JACKSON RIP (Part 3) Michael Jackson Live CD/DVD, Jackson Family Tribute Tour Possible pitchforkmedia.com Following the death of Michael Jackson on Thursday, speculation runs rampant as to what the Jackson family's next commercial move might be. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a memorial tour featuring the surviving Jackson brothers as well as Janet Jackson may be in the works. The New York Daily News reports that Jackson's last rehearsal for his planned 50-night stand at the O2 Arena in London may be headed to DVD and CD. The night before his death on June 25, Jackson's rehearsal at L.A.'s Staples Center was recorded on high-definition audio and video by AEG Live, the company promoting the London concerts. Reuters reports that AEG Live plans to refund all tickets for the O2 Arena shows, which were scheduled to start July 13. Over the weekend, there were many more developments in the Jackson saga: -- MTV reports that on Saturday, the Jackson family issued a statement to the public. It read: "In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times. "We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you-- who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever. "In addition, Joseph Jackson wishes to personally convey: 'My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson.' Joseph Jackson & Family" At the BET Awards on Sunday night, Janet Jackson made her first public appearance since her brother's death. She said, "To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family. He will forever live in all of hearts." -- Artistic tributes continue to pour in. As Gorilla Vs. Bear points out, the Roots joined forced with Erykah Badu to cover Jackson's "I Wanna Be Where You Are", which ?uestlove shared on Twitter. On the BET Awards, New Edition, Jamie Foxx, Ciara, Ne-Yo, and others performed Jackson songs. At the Glastonbury Festival in England, the Streets, Little Boots, Soulwax, and Dizzee Rascal all did Jackson did tunes. The Stones Throw website posted a video tribute mix by Peanut Butter Wolf. 50 Cent released two Jackson tribute songs, while the Game rallied Diddy, Chris Brown, Usher, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher, and Boyz II Men for a tribute called "Better on the Other Side". -- Sales of Michael Jackson's music continue to shoot through the roof. In the UK, the hits collection Number Ones has topped the album charts. Billboard reports that many Jackson titles will zoom to the top of its catalog album sales chart this week, and that many record stores have completely sold out of Jackson product. His music continues to dominate the iTunes and Amazon download charts as well. -- MTV also reports that President Obama has written a condolence letter to the Jackson family. David Axelrod, Obama's senior advisor, announced this on the TV show "Meet the Press" on NBC on Sunday. Reported Jackson Autopsy -- A Fake
http://www.tmz.com/2009/0...rt-a-fake/ We've learned the story making the rounds detailing the terrible condition of Michael Jackson's body is a fake. A report in The Sun gave harrowing details of the body, but we've learned the "autopsy report" was fabricated and completely false.

I'm glad there is a Part 3 cause I can't read all that right now . I've been listening to a lot of MJ all weekend. I'm listening to all of Invincible for the first time since 2001 right now as I type. The one feeling that I kept feeling aside from joy and sadness was regret. I stopped being a die-hard MJ fan around 1991-1992. I remained a fan of his, just with a lot less enthusiasm but yet I've felt guilty for looking down at MJ throughout the years. I allowed his personal life to stop me from focusing mainly on the music. I said early in the previous threads that I have my opinions about the stuff that made news with him after 1993 but I shouldn't have allowed it to affect me the way that I did. If I could give Prince a pass, why not Michael? Now I admit that the music wasn't hitting me the way that it did in the 80's but I could have enjoyed it more and given it more of a chance than I did. I'm glad that I started to enjoy his music more in the last year but I wish that I could have enjoyed it that much more in the 90's and most of the decade, even though all we got was Invincible. In any event, I'm glad that I have it and I'm glad that I was and still am a MJ fan. I've shed my tears over him already and now I am enjoying his music again, remembering why I became a MJ fan when I was 4 yrs old 26 years ago. He left us with so much music and I am grateful for that. That music was unique and amazing. I hope what I said made some sense and thanks for reading.
MJ = I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

LondonStyle, the question "did prince make a statement yet?" means, 'did prince make a statement regardin Michael's passin?' I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

The new issue of Newsweek devotes less than 8 pages to Michael for $6.95 per copy. Time's commemorative edition cost only $5.99, contains no ads and is a 66-page "thriller" of rare photos, interviews and analysis. I bought 2 copies this morning around 6 AM at the local newsstand.

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Michael Jackson Jokes Cut From 'Bruno' Movie June 29 Link The sudden death of Michael Jackson on Thursday prompted a series of discussions at Universal Pictures that resulted in the studio cutting a Jackson-related sketch from "Bruno" only hours before its Los Angeles premiere. Uni removed a scene in which Bruno, the flamboyant Austrian journalist played by Sacha Baron Cohen, interviews an unsuspecting LaToya Jackson about a number of topics, including her brother. Among the gags is a joke about the King of Pop's high-pitched voice, as well as a reference to his trademark white glove, all done in Baron Cohen's characteristically absurdist tone. The scene played at press screenings earlier in the week, where it did not stand out as unusually outrageous in the context of Baron Cohen's other antics. But after Jackson's death on Thursday, the studio and filmmakers decided to remove the scene for the premiere screening out of sensitivity to the Jackson family. The film now cuts directly from Baron Cohen's gonzo interview with Paula Abdul to a focus-group for his faux reality show. Still, because many critics attended those earlier showings, its content could make its way into reviews. Indeed, removing the scene in a way calls more attention to it, though the studio clearly wanted to avoid even the perception of poor taste at any cost. "We decided to take it out for tonight, and we'll reassess before the release whether to keep it out," said director Larry Charles at the premiere's afterparty. A spokesperson for Universal also confirmed that it had not come to any decision on future showings. In a sense today's move was the easy part. The studio is going wide with the film in two weeks, and cutting the scene from every print could be a laborious and expensive process. It's rare that a studio changes a movie in post because of current events, though in a slightly different vein, studios pushed back the release of films such as "Spider-Man" in the wake of Sept. 11.
