No, it's not a sure thing that he was the first. But when the brothers were teasing him about his nose, as a father, he should have eventually seen the effect it was having on him by his behaviour. Joe, being the strict, old school, asshole that he is probably did see it as toughening him up and making a man out of him considering that he was so shy, sensitive, and later feminine. It's hard enough to be made fun of in school or out in public, but when it happens in your own home by your own family, it's absolutely devastating.

But how do we know that Joe didnt say anything to his brothers about teasing him? they all had big noses, and they all had surgeries on them, so why does everyone focus on Michaels nose so much? Like I said, we only see what goes on when cameras are around. I remember Michael saying Joe would say "I dont know where you got that nose from", but I also remember Joe saying that he made jokes about it, but also told Michael to be proud of his nose.

So you think Michael changed his nose because he wanted to without feeling like he was ugly from family?

No one knows the real reason why Michael changed his nose. Only reason we know is the one that he tells us, which was he fell and broke his nose in the 70's. Why did the other brothers and sisters change their noses?

Jackson family faces criticism since Michael's death

BY ROBERT KAHN | robert.kahn@newsday.com
8:43 PM EDT, June 29, 2009

It seems there's a "right" way to grieve, and then there's the very public "Jackson" way.

Observers tracking the moves of Michael Jackson's immediate family were rankled after an eyebrow-raising appearance by family patriarch Joe Jackson at Sunday night's BET Awards, where the 79-year-old briefly appeared to be hawking products for a business.

To some, the move "reeked" of hucksterism, the sad words of a salesman suddenly deprived of his moonwalking commodity. To the less cynical, it was merely a natural gesture from a man used to conducting his affairs through the media.

"Joe, on the red carpet, was an embarrassment," said Ian Drew, a senior editor at Us magazine. "It could not have looked more self-serving. It's what you've always heard about the family - they'll sell out anything, whenever they can."

There have, in fact, been a few actions by members of the Jackson family that have seemed suspect to followers, with Joe's award show "pitch" just the most notable.

On Saturday, Michael's mom, Katherine, who Monday was granted temporary guardianship of Michael's three children, was photographed leaving a Target store with a cart full of sleeping bags and toys. A touching display of a grandmother's love? Or, as some wondered Monday, a shrewd PR move by a woman looking to present herself in the best possible light for the courts?

The posts on TMZ.com, underneath a picture of Katherine headed to the parking lot, were not kind: "Without the kids, there is no $$$." "I'm sure that this woman has people to go out shopping for her." And, "It is laughable to think that a woman who sold her children should have anything to do with [Michael's]."

There was also the report this weekend in the Times of London, where one of Jackson's nannies, Grace Rwaramba, described a call from Katherine Jackson, days after her superstar son's death. Rwaramba said Katherine had raced to Michael's Holmby Hills rental home in the hours after the death to retrieve the piles of cash her son was notorious for leaving around. Sister LaToya Jackson had reportedly gone on the treasure hunt around the same time.

Others have speculated about the quick appearance of the two white Atlas Van Lines moving trucks that appeared at the home, the day after Michael's death. They wonder why one of the first things the family did, "while their youngest son's body was still warm," was to send moving vans to his home.

In his CNN interview with reporter Don Lemon, Joe Jackson introduced a man who appeared to be a business partner, then began talking shop: "Marshall and I have - we own a record company. Talking about Blu-ray technology. That's the next step," he said.

The complaints flooded blogs, such as Jezebel, where one poster called the words of the acknowledged disciplinarian "ghastly": "A man seems pursued pretty much to the grave by the demons his father planted in him, and even in death the -- ghoul is still hustling."

Lost in the outrage, though, is the fact Jackson's comments came more than three minutes into his red carpet appearance, long after his initial words about his son's death: "I'm doing pretty good. . . . It has been really tough. Remember, we just lost the biggest star in the world." Alas, to some, even that lament came across strictly as cool detachment.

Michael Jackson, some say, has always represented to his parents a source of income and fame, a fact that contributed to his depression and untimely self-destruction.

"For them to be out shopping, or promoting themselves, is typical of Michael Jackson's family - but it's an outrage, because they should be home feeling guilty for having caused his demise," said Dr. Carole Lieberman, the Beverly Hills psychiatrist who filed the first complaint against Michael Jackson with child protective services after the 2002 "baby dangling" incident.

"How could a mother be out shopping for anything when her son just died? All the people who had a role in his demise are only thinking now about what the golden goose is worth to them dead. I'm not saying his parents didn't love him, but here Joe takes this opportunity to promote a business and say his son was 'the biggest star.' You can tell, all he's thinking about is how to turn Neverland into Graceland."

I don't know. With the exception of Joe I don't like people watching them and critiquing what they are and aren't doing.

Nancy Grace was just questioning why no siblings have stepped up to care for the children. Why did the 79 year old grandmother get temporary custody? Why have we not seen the brothers or sisters doing this and that? The truth is, we have NO IDEA what is going on with them behind closed doors. As much as we speculate we don't know about their discussions, their decisions, how they're coping with all the nieces and nephews and extended family. Has anyone never been so grief-stricken that they couldn't even get out of bed? Couldn't get dressed? Now Katherine has a grand scheme? Even Janet's appearance at the BET Awards has been scrutinized. All accounts say that the siblings are taking this very very hard and while things need to be done, it's only been a few days. They're trying to deal with family issues while the media is looking at the superstar.

I don't know. I don't like other people determining how people should act, especially during a time like this. This is the one time when their privacy should truly be respected. Instead they're being watched like hawks and judged for every move or lack thereof. Janet said it best, to the fans he's an icon, to us he's family. Leave them the fuck alone for once.

Nancy Grace is a woman who made up shit about the murder of her fiance for a book, so really... who the fuck is she to be questioning anyone's reaction in a time of tragedy?

I want to stomp that woman's face into the pavement. And it has absolutely NOTHING to do with her MJ antics over the years.

As for Nancy, as much as I love that mean ole bitch, she's knows exactly what she's doing. She began her show during the intro talking about the unconfirmed autopsy information from the Sun article. It wasn't until about halfway into her show during her discussion, that she told one of her guests that her sources tell her that the autopsy is not confirmed and other sources have told her it was a fraud. She knew all that bizarre information at the beginning of the show would keep viewers from turning the channel. I'm sure she's aware that some of the siblings may be discussing in private about taking the children later but she is raising hell and hyping things up because people know she's famous for raising hell. They'd be bored and change the channel if she wasn't a bitch. I know I would. lol

I know, I just don't understand. The lawyer justifies it by saying he was a doctor and he was there and qualified to revive Michael. But how long does it take for you to realize maybe I need to call someone with equipment?

The lawyer stutters every time he talks about Dr. Murray doing the one handed CPR on the bed, no phone in the house, not knowing the address, Michael having a slight pulse versus no pulse. So much doesn't sound right.

Didn't he need to know the address to get to the house? If not that, what about having the address IN CASE OF EMERGENCY? As a professional, don't you think about that? No cell phone or blackberry was available? Even f*ckin Perez Hilton asked people to call 911 over Twitter. He coulda tweeted for help in 30 minutes! The more I hear, the more pissed off I get.

I really starting liking Nancy when she went after Paris Hilton with both barrels. She wanted to see that little goodie two shoes princess locked up and so did I. When that sherriff let Paris go home and be on house arrest, Nancy had her people outside the gates of her mansion filming the caterers bringing pink cupcakes to the mansion. The public raised so much hell, that they hauled that little bitch off to jail the very next day kicking and screaming. lol And then, after she was locked up, Nancy herself was out in the grass outside the prison with her hair blowing in the wind filming a story on it. I said then, this is a bitch! I love her! lol

Michael was disciplined like all his brothers and sisters were. Michael said he didn't get disciplined as much as everyone else did because Joe used him as the example ("Do the dance like Michael") and growing up in black family, I don't know what child didn't get disciplined.

Jackie my friend, I rarely use this word but...

FUCK THAT BITCH

yeah, I said bitch.....she's the worse kind of journalist on TV. I see her as the Perez Hilton of CNN.

hey, you! hug

Yeah, eff that b!

I love her! lol

yeah, it was funny when she drove that woman to suicide after interviewing her too.... falloff confused

I heard something about that. I don't know what the interview was about but if I had been put in the public eye for some reason and there was a chance that the least little thing questionable about me might come out, Nancy Grace would be the last person I would give an interview too. Hell, that's like walking up to a rattlesnake. The damn thing might be pretty but I've got better sense than to reach down and pet it. lol

First target of Michael Jackson's obsession with boys says: 'What he did was wrong.. but I forgive him'

Terry George leapt up excitedly as the phone rang. It was 9pm and he knew exactly who it would be… the most unlikely best friend a 13-year-old boy could have.

It was none other than his pop idol Michael Jackson, who had been calling his Leeds home like clockwork for the past five months after striking up a bizarre relationship.

But this time the besotted young fan’s excitement soon turned to shock and embarrassment as Jacko’s voice crackled down the line.

“He’d ring at 9pm on the dot three times a week and we became like best friends,” Terry recalled. “But on this night he sounded different. The line went quiet and I asked if he was still there.

“Then, suddenly out of nowhere, he asked me if I masturbated and that if I did, did I use cream? I was puzzled

and said no. I said I didn’t know what he meant.

“When I paused he said, ‘Would you believe that I am doing it right now?’ and I could hear down the line he was making strange noises. It made me feel confused and uncomfortable.”

Yesterday Terry – now 42 and a multi-millionaire businessman – said: “Michael was a musical legend and genius. But what he did when I was a teenager was wrong.”

He was the first victim of the star’s obsession with children which would ultimately cripple his career.

Jacko, accused of abusing several young boys, was never convicted of any crime. But multi-million-dollar pay-offs to families and a warped insistence that it was OK to share his bed with boys has left a permanent stain on his legacy.

It was in 1993 that young Jordan Chandler claimed in a police statement he was abused at the singer’s Neverland ranch.

Yet more disturbing allegations followed. Jacko’s obsession with children started when he befriended Terry in 1979.

They met when the youngster turned up at his hotel and asked his idol, then 21, for an interview.

“He invited me into his hotel room and we got on brilliantly,” Terry said. “As I went to leave he invited me to hang out with him the next day at the hotel.

“We would sit and giggle and laugh together. It was clear he was happier to be around children than adults and enjoyed their company.”

Before Jacko flew out he asked Terry for his telephone number so they could keep in touch.

“It made me feel special. I got a buzz knowing I had a direct line to a celebrity so I agreed and he promised he would ring me.”

Just a week later came the first of Jacko’s regular calls from America. Terry recalled: “He’d often ask if my parents were in. And when I explained that they had gone out to play bingo he would relax.

“We would chat for hours about silly stuff. He’d sing songs to me down the phone and we’d talk nonsense. We became like best friends.”

Then, only months into their friendship, Jacko abused his trust with the call encouraging Terry to pleasure himself.

“He knew that I wasn’t happy with what he had done and that I felt uncomfortable about it.”

However, they stayed in touch, taking turns to call. That ended when Terry rang up a massive bill and his parents’ line got cut off. In 1981 they met face-to-face again in the UK – but this time Jacko was frosty. “I’ve no idea why his attitude towards me had changed,” Terry said.

They lost contact soon after. Then, suddenly in 1993, Terry got a call from LA detectives on the Chandler case.

Terry said: “The police told me that they felt Michael’s behaviour started with his friendship with me.

“Although I knew what he did was wrong I believed him to be a very confused person rather than a paedophile.”

Yet the investigation which followed suggested a very different story. Dozens of children and former staff, including cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo, came forward claiming he’d abused kids.

He was accused of forcing kids to drink “Jesus Juice” – wine in Coke cans – and watch porn in a hidden room off his bedroom.

His alleged victims claimed the King of Pop pleasured himself in front of them – and insisted on “teaching” them how to do it.

At a trial that followed, Jacko was found not guilty of all the charges.

Yet friends say the claims sent him retreating into his own secluded world.

Earlier this year in a shock call to Terry, Jacko laid bare his misery.

Terry said: “He phoned me out of the blue and we both made our peace about what had happened in the past. I’ve forgiven him for what happened.

“He told me he had been under a lot of pressure recently. I think he was a very confused man who never grew up and lived a tormented life.”

He went on: “He said that people were forced to say things that they later regret.

“But he insisted his love for children was entirely innocent.”

Terry also revealed that Jacko had taken a strong interest in the website he’d founded, Gonetoo soon.org – where users post tributes to people who die young.

“He had been on the site and said he was touched to see some of the messages,” he said. “It had left him very sad and emotional.

“It’s unbelievable that three months on he is dead. After all the strain and torment he has lived through I thought he would live forever. And I am sad that he is gone.”

this is fake. it seems like the media has really gone crazy and just decided to make up whole stories from their head. the article about debbie rowe is proof. she already released a statement saying that she never did an interview

CNN is reporting it took the doctor (Murray) 30 minutes to call 911.

You know? And you know something else that has me mad: people trying to "confirm" that he was 100% healthy. Now looking back, I think he wasn't at all well (hell he probably didn't know himself).

No, I don't know what all was said and done when the cameras were off but I do know that Michael himself said twice while the cameras were on (once to Oprah, and the other time to the guy that got the second trial going) that his father beat him. I can't help it if he's too damn crazy to not have hard feelings towards his father for that.

Michael was disciplined like all his brothers and sisters were. Michael said he didn't get disciplined as much as everyone else did because Joe used him as the example ("Do the dance like Michael") and growing up in black family, I don't know what child didn't get disciplined.

Well you have to understand it's a complex thing. This is the same Michael Jackson that said looking at Joe made him vomit.

If a child shows his little ass, he needs to get his ass whipped. If you don't whip it, he'll be spitting in your face later. But there's discipline and there's abuse. My mother, grandmother, aunts, and uncles used to whip my little ass when I acted up and I deserved it because I was a mean little devil. lol But my father used to beat it. There's a difference in whipping and beating.

Well then throw in the fact that he DIDNT know the exact address, the house had no landlines, and seemed no one else was around till he ran down and told the chef to get security who then made the 911 call. Strange.

So you think Michael changed his nose because he wanted to without feeling like he was ugly from family?
[Edited 6/29/09 18:54pm]

No one knows the real reason why Michael changed his nose. Only reason we know is the one that he tells us, which was he fell and broke his nose in the 70's. Why did the other brothers and sisters change their noses?
[Edited 6/29/09 18:57pm]

I remember when he was on Oprah...Oprah showed him a pic of when he was younger and he couldn't look at the picture...so I think he did have issues with his appearance.
