I didn't bite anyone's head off, but SOME people were extremely out of line on that thread. Just agree to disagree; don't bring someone's family into a conversation that has nothing to do with them. Some things are just not that serious. I've made personal attacks on Ms. Badu, but mostly for shits and giggles (ie..she looks like she stank) In the end, it's her life and I don't truly care that much

I can't hate on the mothers who have multiple children, work crazy hours and still find ways to hot dinners on the table for them and read to them every night. I can hate on the mothers who have multiple children, don't work, yet don't have time to make sure their children complete simple homework assignments because they were too busy clubbing or doing God knows what. My point is that not all women who have multiple fathers should typecast into these demoralizing beings who are destroying the concept of family. The only way a child can be fucked up is if the mother, or father for that matter doesn't have their children's priorities in order. In fact, those are the things that some parents do to keep from getting locked up. That stuff is relatively easy. What's more important is providing a stable home environment and removing negative influences from their lives - and it's a lot harder to do that if you got multiple men running in and out of the house. It's hard enough to control how one man behaves, let alone three that will be tied to your life as well as to those kids. You said you're a teacher, yet you never encountered this? You must be damn lucky teacher. All of the teachers I know that teach in urban areas haven't been nearly as lucky. Bottom line is you can NEVER be too careful when it comes to raising and influencing kids. Therefore, control the number of potentially negative variables in their lives. | |

As I said the last time this shit was brought up about Erykah. As long as she and/or her babies daddies can take care of their babies, I'm not mad at her. It's her life and her business. I wish them all well.
Now if she were broke living on welfare and her babies daddies were some busters just hitting it and quitting it, I'd feel quite differently because then it would indeed be a societal situation where as they are not taking care of their responsibilities society is.
