Dont hate on Janet, Madonna, or Britney for that matter. Blame MTV for making image trump talent. Video truly killed the radio star. That doesnt mean that these artist arent entertaining. One more thing, not reaching the 2nd round of Idol is a good thing in my book. That show is the downfall of the industry. I say bring it on, Janet! I can't wait for your '08 album. actually Kylie MOnlouge or whatever her name is is OVERRATED... i heard her songs and they STINK.. this woman can barely dance... and her voice sounds a pinch better then JJ's and her songs aren't even half as good as JJ.. she doesn't even have half as many hits as MISS JACKSON... so NO jANET IS DEFINITLY NOT OVERRATED.. she is OVERHATED.... | |

Janet is the most underrated of the superstar generation and one of the last genuine superstars of MTV/pop as we know it.

i don't think Janet Jackson is overratted on this site. she seems to have a 60/40 split amongst fans her. or maybe 70/30.
i've seen even some of her more hardcore fans express bad critiques about her music/shows, etc.. 
i know who would win my vote for most overrated "artist" on here...but this thread's about Janet so.
