Michael Jackson - 7EVEN

Yes, that's right. The title of Michael Jackson's new album has been revealed (along with some more interesting information about the album) by a self-proclaimed MJ "insider". The insider I'm referring to actually has been supplying fans with revealing information since the Invincible album. This is what we now know about Michael Jackson's new album.

The working title for the album is 7EVEN, and it seems as though that title will stick because some serious work has gone into designing the album cover and everything on the album apparently has something to do with the number 7. There are 14 tracks divided into a A and B side (if you will). Although all tracks are still on the same disc. I don't know much else about the album's relation to the number 7. Some fans have suggested 7 singles. Or 7 videos. The album could run for 77 minutes. Who knows?

As for the release date. A HMV in Oxford is apparently already advertising the release date as November 19 2007. According the the MJ insider the debut single will come out in September but the album wont be released until November.

A little bit about the album cover design has also been revealed. Apparently this will appear on the album cover in same shape or form...

The MICHAELJACKSON in the shape of a 7 is a key point of the album cover's design and will apparently be used a lot as a logo for the album and everything else that comes with it.

As for who is working on the album. Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, will.i.am, Neff-U, Big Chuck, Sean Garret, Akon, John Legend, Ne-Yo and OneRepublic have all been working with Michael Jackson. Out of all the material that has been recording, what actually goes on the album is a different story. Of that long list of names only 2 or 3 of them may have material that makes it on the album.

So there you have it. Michael Jackson's 7EVEN coming out November 2007. Enjoy!

It's his seventh solo studio album as an adult. Maybe that's what it's about.

If true of course. smile

It's funny because when I read this at MJJF I had the same reaction to it as I had to Prince naming his latest album 3121. lol

That was exactly what I thought too. I wonder (considering the title is real) if he will have a title track. Perhaps he will finally cover Prince. Something I've been waiting for forever.

And it only took seven posts for the first tiresome kiddie fiddler comment to appear.

Maybe there's something in the title afterall.

so is that supposed to be pronounced "Seven" or "7 Even" ? confused

because "7" doesn't look anything like an "S"... why not make the "V" the "7"? confuse

Honestly, Michael's album titles have never been anything other than a random track off the CD. lol Same thing for Janet minus "janet." and "20Y.O."

The 7th solo album idea was the first thing that came to my mind as well.

His album should be called 7even 11 since he has 7 adult solos and added with his 4 from Motown makes 11.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I find it interesting that in 2 decades, he has only put out that many releases.

lol Nah, I know it sounds very Prince-like but Michael's fave number has always been 7. He wore a shirt with the #7 in the video for "Scream" and also the name Michael & the name Jackson both have 7 letters in them wink.

Although I'm predicting that the late night hosts and others will have fun making predictable kiddie jokes because of the title, I think it's a good name and the cover looks cool. It's much better than egotistical names like "Invincible".

What a coincidence that he is also focusing on 7 & doing the number thing, like Prince.
