I deliberately left him off. It is too obvious, and I myself don't really listen to the man at this point.

true, I don't listen to him a lot these days eiter (and also to some other artists on my list for that matter.) A current playlist would look very much different fo'sure

but I was mainly looking back on the last 3 decades I've been consuming music as a whole when compiling this list, and came up with artists that played or still play a very important part in my life at some point

Maybe I'm weird but I always file mine under the first name, however, I shall endeavour to put them in as requested.

Ash
Beck
Chemical Brothers, The
Deep Forest
E, Sheila
Frames, The
Gabriel, Peter (includes Gabriel era Genesis)
Hothouse Flowers
Iron Maiden
Jethro Tull
Kula Shaker *
Led Zeppelin
My Bloody Valentine
NIN
Orton, Beth
Pink Floyd
Queen
REM
Something Happens
Thin Lizzy
U2
Vaughan, Stevie Ray
Woodstar
XTC **
Young, Neil
Zappa, Frank

* disclaimer - of the few artists I have whose names begin with K, the one I would rank as musically best is Kula Shaker. This should not, and I cannot stress this enough, be taken to mean that I actually like them. Thank you.

** disclaimer two - only because the only other choices that I know of are Xscape and Xzibit, and there's no way it's going to be either of them.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

hehe, for example I'm still missing a gazillion of Miles albums and would trade them for let's say a unplayed King Crimson album ? lol but I meant more negotiating about adaptions to my list, anyway it was damn hard NOT to include folks like Isleys or Jarreau, and I'm sure there are also tons of artists I totally forgot about like Urbaniak/Urbanator

anyway, those lists are ALYWAYS open to frequent changes lol
