gotta go with 'older'

The atmosphere and mood of the album are so well done and lyrcally it's damn close to perfection. 'Fastlove' still my favorite GM track. And Jezus 2 a child,...pure genius.
It was not in vain...it was in Minneapolis!

it's a tie between Older and Listen without Prejudice... Both are very relaxed and smooth wink

To me it is a tie between Faith and Listen Without Prejudice, but I'll go with Faith becuzzzz.....

He made another listen without prejudice (older) that was weaker overall.

And he never made a downright GROOVY album ever again. His last good track was Outside, I think. He had been plagued by too much marihuana and a writer's block...Uhm, I wonder why THAT is, George...

"Listen without....."

After that album, most of his work, if not virtually all his slow songs anyway, sounded like copy's of "Listen without....."

Best song:- "I want ur sex" then "monkey".....that song is pretty funny!

It took the greatness of Listen without Prejudice and added stronger, more modern production resulting in his best album.

Older. Which is now, shockingly enough, out of print in the US. WTF?

George Michael could do a remake of the 'alphabet' and it would be brilliant! nod
I can't choose just one here. Though I must admit to playing "Older" & "Listen Without Prejudice" a few times more than the other albums. "Patience" may be getting there as well.
See..told you I couldn't pick just one.

I am going to go against the grain...

Patience!

All of the songs are good and they get better and better with each listen. I still think it's a bit ballad heavy...but all the songs build really nicely. It is a "george michael" album. It's all of the albums rolled into one. I love them all and this was a hard choice. But the first is too mainstream for me...the second has a couple of skippers and some of the songs sound too similar...and Older just never really stuck boxed with me.

I think Patience is the best thing I have heard this year and think it's better than Musicology...but then again I had to wait 8 years for it nod

wave to all the George fans! I know that these threads come up every so often, so I was just waiting to say hello biggrin

Its almost as if every album has a few that just dont gel with the mix.. needless to say i believe Listen Without.. and Patience are his best.. but Older and Faith have some really important songs that really cant be left out..

I also think the quality of Patience (album) is just so richly detailed and a lot of work was put in2 each song.. each song is a world in itself, for his music.. i really dig it.. i didnt know what to expect at first.. liked it, then pushed it away, it grew on me and now the album is a part of me.. seems like the best things in my life has gone through that process...
