I have a few female rap groups does anyone remember?

Oaktown's 3.5.7 & L'Trimm were mentioned already.....

what about

*J.J. Fad

*Finesse & Synquis (the 2 chicks with the matching MCM outfits one green one yellow)

*Wee Papa Girl Rappers (sister duo from london)

*Cookie Crew (also from london)

*Silk Tymes Leather (Jermaine Dupri's first discovery)

*Sugga & Spice ( two big girls,one light skin,one dark...dissed J.J.Fad)

*Body & Soul (Dance to the drummer's beat...this group had Sista Dee Barnes from the show "Pump it up",the lady who was assulted by Dr.Dre a few years after.)

*Def Dames (from Bakersfield CA... Set it off on the left ya'll)

*BWP (Bytches with Problems)

*HWA (Hoez wit Attitudes)

*Ghetto Girlz (Geto Boys knockoff, My man is playing tricks on me)

*Terminator X. W/Bonnie & Clyde (Homie don't play dat)

*Poizon Posse ( wanna be thug chicks produced by female rhyme legend Sweet Tee)

*The Conscious Daughters (bad ass duo from the bay area)

now if you tuned into Yo! MTV Raps during it's prime,or even had the BOX,maybe caught Rap City as well then you would remember some of these chicks.....

JJ Fad: Supersonic was it back then, could'nt go anywhere without hearing it on radio. I also liked their song We In The House.

Finesse and Synquis: I used to love their song "Soul Sisters". Finesse and Synquis used to go under another name but for the life of me I can't think of it. I remember the video for Soul Sisters clearly because I was Al B. Sure crazy and he was in the video dancing with all the other people in the audience (he's in the uncut version of the video - not the edited version - not that big of a difference in the two videos, the one with Al had more cameos, that's about it). MCM was big back then...I look back at that line of clothing and it was sooo ugly.

Silk Tymes Leather - I bought their music when it was released. The Woman In Me was my song. They even had the DJ rapping on the album. I remember her wearing a hightop honey blonde fade. This was Jermaine Dupri's production etc. before he became "Jermaine Dupri". He was a kid back then. It's hard to believe that album came out almost 20 years ago (1987).

BWP or HWA was in a movie (can't remember because I was'nt a fan of either group).

I knew there was another popular show biggrin. I used to also set my timer to record "In Your Ear" mainly for the host of the show Brett Walker (talk about eye candy drooling). I also remember Screen Scene, there was also another show with Bev ?. There was also another show that came on either before or after Screen Scene...this lady would interview people and it was a 30 minute show. Teen Summit was another really good show they they took off. What the hell happened to BET??? Planet Groove was like a new version of Video Soul but not as good.

Damn. That was the good old days of BET when the network really stood for something. The BEv Smith show that you were refering to was Our voices .

Thanks...that was it, "Our Voices". That was a really good show. BET either has someone else calling the shots or they were just dumb in screwing up the line-up.
