1992 Earl's Court London. His head-mike would not work properly during Gett Off (pehaps that song is jinxed?  ) and he was clearly annoyed by this. The rest of the show was flawless I have to add.  Just somewhere in the middle,

I remember one time, the whole band were encased in acrylic "pods" at the opening of their comeback tour. All of the pods opened as each musician started playing... except Prince's! His pod stayed stuck shut through the whole song, while roadies were prying on the slit, trying to open it. Then a "little person" came running out with a 17" tall replica of Stonehenge.
It was awesome. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

some1 reading my mind here?... um...only one i can think of is Rotterdamm '92... after Gett Off (going in2 gett Off housestyle) he gives the band the ole: One Two Three SHOO-AH! queue to come in... but they missed it,so he did it again & they came in. only heard it on bootleg. ***************************************************************************************

I've got that bootleg and it never crossed my mind that the band missed the cue. I just thought it was rehearsed that way so that they came in on the second SHOO-AH!  | |

U guys missed a CLASSIC...
2nd Arsenio appearance, after the performance of "My Name Is Prince", when P "pissed" on the critics reviews of his new CD with lighter fluid. Then tries to set them aflame...damn matches kept going out before they hit the papers!
It took him 3 or 4 tries till he finally lit them up. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |
