That was who Prince was-he was a man of convictions. I respect who he was and if he felt it demonic that is fine for him. That is reason enough not do a hologram of him.

I agree that if he said he didn’t want something, then we should honor that. As an aside, my iPhone is blocked from the Org. Is anyone else having trouble with this? I do not see why is it so hard to honor Prince the man. I may not agree with his convictions but that is what made him Prince. I hope we do not have a hologram in the future or people just using his name for their own hype. It is sad to see.

I totally agree; I don't want to see JT performing Prince's music either. I would rather see a nice Tribute on-film before his half-time show. I think it would be so beautiful and symbolic if they played "When Doves Cry", and release Doves into the sky, but I know they can't do that for numerous reasons.....

I hope whatever they have planned will be beautiful and respectful of Prince's legacy.

Justin's music appeals to pop culture and the average music listener. He got his start at the Mickey Mouse Club, so there ya go! Yea, he was with NSYNC; which had a couple of popular songs that appealed to the teenage crowd. Justin just seems so plastic, imo. He's an entertainer, albeit average.

Y'all are missing the big picture: if we are to believe family then a hologram wasn't authorized and wasn't going to happen. So WHO is putting this kind of info out there? That's a big issue to me because it's causing a great deal of angst among Prince's fans. WHY would someone want to do that?

I dunno. I just have this feeling that a Hologram was planned, and because of all the backlash, they put a stop to it.

I would much rather see them show a nice film that highlights Prince's music and legacy. To me, that would be more respectful. He said he thought holograms were evil.....so why would they go against his wishes?

Clover, there is no way they could make a change like that at the last minute. Think back to the last time there was talk about holograms and the major drama that caused. You really think they would have moved forward knowing it was gonna cause so much anger? Furthermore, there are people who helped do things involving the half-time show and there would have definitely been talk of that. There wasn't.

I think all this fuss was a set up, but I think it was a bad idea. Something about all of it just isn't sitting right.

Well, the way the media is putting it, they are making it sound like JT scrapped the plans to have a Hologram. Maybe he will set the record straight by tomorrow?

That halftime show was dreadful. The Prince "tribute" was cheap, lazy and disresptful. Sucked!!

The halftime show wasn't bad....but Prince is still sitting at #1 I was pleased to see what they did to honor him and definitely liked how the area surrounding the stadium was lit up in purple
