I have notes I've collected on all these 'Camille' covers.
I will find them and add what I/we have concluded

I believe the one above is a fan made cover

but the 2nd one I believe is official. They words-fonts come from the album press Prince did of the configurations

Yes I agree about Good Love as a lead single. It's such a great song and I wish Prince would have included it on SOTT

I love his Camille sound! If I imagined a video, I immediately think of FREEDOM 90 by George Michael. Perhaps it would be full of ladies lip syncing the words, but not without Prince of course. For "Good Love", I picture Prince and some ladies trying on outfits on Rodeo Drive in Cali at the fancy shops like in Pretty Woman. But who knows!

I like all of the songs,but I think Prince was wise to release the tracks on different projects,as opposed to an entire album.People would have been confused by an album from a guy named 'Camille' it would have been treated as a weird side project.

Who cares, is Prince he's always been perceived as weird. I imagine the Good Love video as animated with Prince and lots of girls singing, dancin and even flyin here and there, while girls joinin Prince in the chorus like the Nala and Simba scene when they are kids and go their way to explore, and then the musical scene begins, something like that.

I was reading about these tracks last night, and thinking: If the Camille thing had come out as an actual album (instead of The Black Album, which was almost released and then suddenly cancelled), then 'Housequake', 'If I Was Your Girlfriend', and 'Strange Relationship' are no longer on Sign O' The Times.

So, then, since Warners were already nervous about a double-album in spring '87, I doubt they'd have been supportive of a double-album just months after Camille. So, with only 14 songs remaining, would Sign O' The Times then have come out as a single album?

I think it's "3 2 funk and get away". It's also, "Think about your man, the one who works so hard. what's his is his...what's yours is yours..."

Some of the greatest and funkiest music he has ever produced is on this album....... The music snobs podcast latest episode discuss this project , well worth a listen.

Sometimes I feel Prince album configurations can sound like random compilations, but this is great.

If this was released at the time, it would be very odd to think of those SOTT tracks not being on SOTT.

Very strong album, very levelled quality with no standout songs or filler (besides rockhard)

You could have 8 singles from this album, but also just one - i dont think it would have been a big hit cause there isn't the standout lead song.

WB... if you're listening... this would make an awesome Record Store Day release.

I'd love a vinyl reproduction, with the tracks properly sequenced!

Thanks 4 the lyric updates guys, I didn't look them over, or listen to the song when cut n pasting from a lyrics site. Maybe I'll send the site an update on the lyrics.

I think if the Dream Factory -Prince & the Revolution still happened in 1987 the Camille album could easily have been released along with it. And we really get the 'alter ego' effect. The Dream Factory took on a more mature direction and Camille more playful.

I always picture this or this as a representation of Camille

Always thought Strange Relationship would have been a good single as well. Much better choice than IIWYGF

I guess the concept of an "alter ego album" carried through and became The Black Album.

I would have loved Shockadelica and IIWYGF as singles, well actually the whole album should have been singles if released.

Shockadelica/Housequake/7 Mins MoQuake was actually planned as the first single
