Prince as a hologram?

https://inews.co.uk/essentials/prince-return-stage-hologram-music-legends-sister-says/

"Tyka Nelson told the i that a hologram of the musician, who died from an accidental painkiller overdose last year, could be used to replicate Prince’s run of 21 concerts at the London O2 Arena a decade ago."

"Nelson, 56, awarded a share of the singer’s £100m estate, said a Prince hologram could follow. She said: “A hologram could be done as long as it is of excellent quality. It would have to allow the fans to experience Prince in the way he allowed us to experience his music.”

How do you guys feel about this?

I predict the same controversy that happened between Ronnie James Dio´s fans....

.

Call me conservative, but I am not a big fan of the idea

There were supposed to be hologram tours for tupac & Whitney but they never happened so this'll probably suffer the same fate. There was supposed to be a televised duet between Whitney & Christina Aguilera but it leaked online and was a complete mess. Looked nothing like her and the whole thing waa cringe to watch.

Well, I, for one, am anxiously waiting for the Prince hologram and would love to see it! Only if it's good- but, I would love if we could see different Prince holograms from different eras -- would be amazing!!!!

They can't even get the Purple Rain resissue right and they are talking about holograms? How about releasing the hundreds/thousands of finished audio and video from the vault first? We don't have vault classics like Love Thy Will be Done, but they want to do some creepy stuff like this? He left us his vault. There is no need to invent new stuff.

I wouldn't be the first in line to pay for this (I'll let others be the guinea pigs). But if they could get it to work - and work well - I think it'd be cool. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I would pay good money for a hologram concert. Absolutely. I think it is a great idea providing that it is done well. Count me in.

"What would be a little more happening than just another picture [laughs] would be if there was some way I could materialize in people's cribs when they play the record."
