If its off the books, the Estate must self report this to the IRS.

The Judge said after further "Discovery" is completed between Roc Nation and the Estate

the Court will determine whether the Estate is indebted to Roc Nation for some or all repayment of

After re-reading some of these voluminous filings, it may be P signed the Equity Term Sheet

as P personally and not on behalf of NPG Records, and NPG Music Publishing.

This is hurting my head.

err

-/The documents are hard to pick thought but yes from reading the docs Prince singed a deal with Tidal and received four payments the last being in November of 2016. Tidal is saying the money was an advance with a portion being able to be recouped through royalties or within 3 years whichever came first. Also there was a promise of two more albums from Prince. Tidal wants the two albums and their money back if the music gets pulled off. I do not see how the court would have let Tidal claim stand if they did not have anything in writing or a proof payment to Prince.

But the new Administrator Comerica is still alleging no signature on the Equity Term Sheet.

Some days, I came to this thread, popcorn in hand to read all the silly back and forth and speculations cause it was hilarious. Now with the proliferation of news regarding the relase of PR Deluxe on 6.9.17 we can presume Van was Prince's advocate after his passing, while Londell was trying to make a name for himself, while (possibly and simultaneously) negatively-impacted Prince's legacy.

Van has also negatively impacted Princes legacy. They have all used Prince after his death to further their own agendas.

I respect your viewpoint, but can you quantify your statement? Van's show on CNN is sub-par, however, once Van and P linked up to donate a portion of the proceeds from the W2A tours to charity, it was Kool & The Gang. Also? Van was the most emotional/passionate (post-PRN's passing) about maintaining Prince's legacy for future generations.

What about the Letter of intent and the money. Tidal was allowed to make a claim and that has to be based on something. I also find it hard to believe that Tidal would have given Prince money without something in writing. I am sure Prince was not giving them material for free. We will see when the court makes a decision on their claim and if the music ever comes off of Tidal.

How is making Prince's music available to a wider audience negatively impacting his legacy? confused And how exactly was Van Prince's advocate other than going on CNN and crying and talking about what a great person he was. What exactly has Van done for the Estate? I'm not saying that as a slam against Van I just don't know what he's done Estate wise, or to maintain Prince's legacy for future generations. Highlighting his charity work isn't going to pay the bills to keep PP open.

It appears P signed the Letter of Intent or Phaedra did. It was signed as the two LLC's.

There is a disagreement as to whether the Equity Term Sheet was signed.

I think the issue is whether Tidal has exclusive streaming rights.

The Estate contends the Letter of Intent does not prohibit others from streaming

P's music.

And this is why P's music is streaming everywhere today!

Instead of Van keeping Princes legacy alive as the great legend he is, Van has put his face on CNN and yet again on The End tabloid show claiming to be a friend. If he was a friend of Prince why is he smearing his legacy with these shows? If he was looking out for Prince he would not have appeared and he would have flagged this show to not be aired as it was wrong on many levels.
JMO..Also think he has guilty tears, actually he did say that himself on yet another show...the night Prince died.
I would like to hear from a real friend of Princes but like P himself said he could count them like a peace sign

You make very valid points, but consider this: ole' Vanny Van would not have had sign off on how the show was edited. I saw the same Headline News show you did, but consider the following: Headline News put that garbage out for the sake of advertising dollars, AND (now that we know what we know today) in preparation for Mr. Nelson's music to be serviced to Streaming. Did I find the show fucked up AND one-sided? Yep. Did it change my perception of Skipper? Nope. But: just my three cents. wink

Yes Van did say on CNN that he felt guilt. I believe it was in his interview with Don Lemon.

And he expressed guilt/regret on that Headline News trash. Consider this: was Van smart enough to realize the more Prince is talked about via various media mediums, it would only bode well for...and this is the takeaway...if/WHEN PRN's work was/IS serviced to Streaming?

No one that calls themselves a friend and has any respect for Prince should have participated for any of those shows or news organizations speaking of anything other than his music.
Agree and My perception of Prince did not change either but what a shame to have the false news being feed once again for the other folks that haven't followed Prince for long. All perception...JMHO Van has not helped with how non fans will think of Prince.
Edited to add ..i only made it to the Prince riding his bicycle part and have no desire to watch any more.

I would hope the estate managers will just ride out the contract no reason the music can't be on all plateforms. Altought I doubt four 750k payments are going to be coming to the estate from any of these platforms.

What will people do now that they don't have Londell to kick around? I was never a fan of his cryptic tweets and I do think the tribute concert was poorly handled but he did get much needed deals done for the estate which is more than can be said for anyone else. Let's see how Tyka and Omarr run things now.

Both will be staying on but not as official consultants to the Estate.

Van will be the business advisor to Tyka and Omarr.

Londell is staying on as a business advisor to other family faction.

How did Hit N Run Phase 2 end up on Apple Music srteaming service? Prince must have approved that, yes?

I knew Phase 2 was on iTunes but was it available via Apple Music as well, and if so was it available on AM from day one? I know one of the submissions to the court mentioned so many days of exclusivity but can't recall the length or if it was only for Phase 1.

Tidal's Petition for Temporary Restraining Order stated P delivered to them one

previously unreleased album but did not deliver the second album before his passing.

Tidal keeps stating in their documents their streaming rights are based upon

"numerous written and oral agreements and a substantial course of dealing" between

Tidal and P, and his entities.

Apparently, they gave P $3 mil in total installment payments.
