Yea, I've seen his performances in 2014 and he was bouncing around like a Mexican Jumping Bean! He did not appear to be in any pain, whatsoever.

.

His "visible" changes could be nothing more than the aging process. I mean, he was 57 years old (that is not old), but I'm just saying. He could not perform the way he did when he was 27 anymore. He's always been "thin", so we can't really equate that to any "illness" he may or may not have had.

No, as of last year the physical changes were noticeable, either from ilness, stress or addiction to painkillers (and its side effects). Coupled with that is him taking a more relaxed stance, as in less makeup, more natural look, the afro, the looser clothes, the platforms.

Btw, as of when did Prince start wearing pumps instead of high heels? Was it after his surgery? There was acalculated timeframe for that, right?

.

Like you said, Prince was going with a more "natural" look (Fro, no makeup and casual attire). I think a lot of his fans were taken aback by this, because this was not the Prince we had been accustomed to, but he changed his look many times throughout his career.

.

Are you referring to "wedges"? I think Prince was wearing those more in recent years. I can't even wear heels like I used to; they are painful.

.

Prince wore these "Flip-flops" thingy's in recent years. They look quite comfy! I also have seen him wearing "wedges" in recent performances. If I find a pic, I will post it here.

.

Prince's cute flip-flops!

Yes, I meant wedges, sorry. Sneaker like. It allowed him more fluid moves on stage, making his dancing seem really different and relaxed. Fun even.

As for flip flops with socks (not even gonna comment on how awful they look! Oops, just did!), I think this was mainly due to confort.
Do you have any idea when did he ditch the heels?

Yes, A sneaker-like shoe. Flip flops with socks, LOL lol

I think he still wore heels for personal appearances, but I think he wore wedges on-stage when he was with 3rdEyeGirl (2014).

Found a pic from 2014 when he performed with 3rdEyeGirl in London and he's wearing the sneaker-wedge-thingys:

I believe what Prince meant was that he was wrapping-up his career, and moving onto other things. I don't think he was referring to his days being numbered. All you have to do is look at everything he was planning to do, and that does not give me the impression that he was getting ready to leave us.

.

Tyka did not say anything concrete, in my opinion. Her comments were very open-ended comments.

.

Did anyone notice how Tyka wasn't asked questions about Prince's death? It's like they totally ignored the obvious. All they wanted to do was talk about the PP museum.

.

.

[Edited 10/15/16 12:34pm]

.
Hmmm...Not convinced, Clover...I just don't see why someone (ie Tyka) would be 'grieving' for two years, and 'waiting for the call' if Prince had made it plain that all he was preparing was for a retirement / slowing things down, etc etc...

.
In fact, his actions and plans suggest that he was in no way going to retire / slow down - oh no; he was going to go out with a bang, lol - a sudden flurry of frenetic activity (again, not unusual in a person - or animal - who senses that the 'end is nigh').

.

Now that's not to say he had a terminal - or critical - illness. As many have indicated, we just don't know - but I don't see his having plans (which, ultimately, didn't come to fruition) as being evidence AGAINST him having 'something' going on with his health.

.

I am late to this conversation BC I took a break from the board for a few weeks, however, I am in complete agreement with the last post. Truly believe more now than ever there was an underlying illness. Poor P.....GOD I MISS HUM!!!!

Random thoughts after spending a week in MLPS and being physically in Paisley-and it is PURELY my intuition and thoughts so please don't hammer me on the need for hard factual truth. I am just putting it out there because questions lead to answers:

- He must have been in chronic pain to need an elevator for that stairwell. It was very short-shorter than the one in my home. I don't know if he was using it regularly but I was just surprised at how small the stair case actually is.

-The man over Graceland Holdings reported they had laid new carpet-an exact replica-over the old because the quality of the old could not withstand the traffic. They also had to purchase several new HVAC units for the building. As we know, "the egg" is not in good physical shape-paint peeling, etc. and several have mentioned the condition of the interior furniture. None of these things would be be surprising in my home, but Prince was a perfectionist and always immaculate in his appearance, etc. I was surprised at the reports of what had to be done to repair the building before they could open. This isn't Prince. Something over the past couple of years had him preoccupied.

-the Prince family (including NPG members, bandmates, collaborators, Paisley employees) are tight. Whatever went down, they will take it to their graves. That makes me really wonder why Judith spoke out and she wasn't shunned, actually she is as tight in the circle as anyone. Wondering if everyone agreed that she should be the one to put the story about what happened on the plane "out there" and if so, why?

-I can't really explain it so it's purely speculation, but I don't think those pills came from the Chanhassen or MLPS area.

-After being around the family and friends for several days and being at the concert,I am convinced they all know exactly what happened.

-My gut tells me its the local doctor who has disappeared that is responsible for procuring the tainted pills. I just can't figure out why he wouldn't have just written a script unless Prince was insistant that his name not be on the script and the doctor was unwilling to write it to someone else.

-I would like to know whose name was on the other perscription bottle found. The living quarters are not that large-not at all what I expected-so I am thinking that bottle was in his room or close by-not in one of the guest rooms. That person may also very well be the one who has been funneling medication to him for a long time.

-We will never know what really happened. The community will protect him and as little information as possible will be released.

-I am sad and mad as hell. This didn't have to happen. It was so avoidable. Someone, maybe several, were just freaking careless with his health and safety. My heart is broken at the thought of him at Paisley, right there off the freaking main road for heaven's sake, suffering and being alone in that building. That was the worst part of the tour for me-now I have a visual to the tape that has been playing out in my mind sad

The Piano and a Microphone Tour killed Prince.

If Prince was already self medicating for pain, then I think the intimate, emotional and stressful nature of the tour could have caused a downward spiral into drug abuse.

He was such a perfectionist. Peforming a career retrospective set all alone and entirely on the piano in front a large crowd would have definitely been highly stressful and emotional.

There is not a lot of room for error when peforming on the piano solo. In his last public appearance he said he has a new guitar but can't play because he wants to keeping practicing the piano shows me that even genius Prince was a bit insecure about his piano playing.

He was also in an age group that men commonly have a mid-life crisis. They look back on their lives and assess the decisions made that led to where they are now in life.

Consider the fact that he found out about Denise while on tour. That alone could have triggered a downward spiral.

I have heard from others on here that he was depressed that his career was stagnating and felt like he didn't have much new to offer. Who knows what goes on in the heads of brilliant artists.

That's why I don't begrude any of them for turning to drugs or alcohol.

He probably thought he could manage the drug problem just like everything else in his life.

It's just beyond sad that he was found dead all alone in an elevator.

These are really interesting points.

I agree with you it doesnt sound like the perfectionist Prince to let his prized P.P get even a bit run down in the way you describe. Like you said , really does make one wonder if he was preocuppied with something over recent years.

I live way down here in Australia, but Im planning a visit to P.P possibly in April next year.

Just wondering, you mentioned the living quarters, so as a visitor are you saying you actually can physically go into the actual living quarters where Prince stayed?

No the tour is contained to the bottom floor only. I knew where the living quarters are located in the building (upstairs) from having followed it being built way back in the day and seeing the plans. If you take out the night club/performance areas, the rest of Paisley is much smaller than I expected.

Thanks for your comments. As for the highlighted bit, I too wondered about this. The only explanation would be that she was "authorized" by the family to give out those details. Let's face it, she did not reveal much and what she did was also criptic, just like Tyka comments about the two years and being crushed. Comments that are open to discussion and could mean a bunch of things. Nothing definite. According to JH you know that Prince all of a sudden blacked out, while doing something totally mundane. He was chatting and eating. Pasta. So no Prince sitting in a corner in pain taking illegal pills. That image is out of the picture thanks to JH's comments. Later, she stated he fought hard to come back to life, a narrative that assures everyone that Prince wanted to live. I believe JH's account was carefully planned, no way she would have spoken up without the family's consent. And if she did, she would have been banned from PP.

Disagree. In fact, he probably believed the P&M tour would save him. It was a much needed downsizing for someone in chronic pain but with a love for musisc and performing that went way beyond the pain. You could see a downsizing of sorts in the 2014 concerts. The laid back attitude,

the loose and carefree clothing, kinda new agey (I believe his spirituality took him way beyond JW fasith, but that's another story), no heels and a more relaxed dancing, letting the band members shine more, spending a big part on the synth with samples and an overall lay out of his most famous hits (whilst constantly reminding everyone that he had plently of those so they could be there all night), the comments about his fams going to PP and visiting his house. He was already planning a downsizing or an early retirement (from whatever reason).
Also, on the stage prince was where got all the attention and love he surely needed. I believe he was lonely and depressed. He lived as a recluse, hated media attention, two failed marriages and no descendants, etc. He lived very much inside his head, in his own world.

MMJas, I think you have brought out aspects of Prince's life that the public may not have realized. We can see a marked deterioration in his appearance, and I think the P + M shows were a response to his not being able physically to mount a full-fledged tour. He could do an hour or so, but with very little movement. The fams were his sustenance. But his life must have been so lonely, even with his fame.

MMJas,

I agree with your opinion. I also believe that the recent dependency brought about a new reality in the world in his head. Nothing negative or bad, just reality to his secured world. A recluse is a very good descriptioin. He only used the media when he needed it for promotion. His inner world was off limits.

I believe he had the best intentions for that tour too. I was just suggesting that what he experienced on the tour could have caused an escalation in his drug use. He went from canceling a show, to being unresponsive on a plane, to passing away all in a short amount of time (1 month?) That my friends is what is known as a downward spiral.

What he could have experienced was decline in his health due to joint pain, withdrawals, and whatever other health issues he had.

Yeah definitely. If someone is withdrawing from drugs and not getting the proper medical care it can lead to seizures and death.

I agree. I think he should have been in a hospital or rehab facility. He chose not to though.

It's a shame the doctors and the people around him couldn't do more for him.

True, but if he was in rehab they would have had a better chance at reviving him. He wouldn't have been found in an elevator.

I haven't made my way through the whole thread yet but god damn.

We've actually reached the point where people here honestly believe Prince faked his own death? That he "knew about 9/11" (whatever that means)? Chemtrails? Anti vaxers? Seriously? Have you lost your motherfucking minds? Several of you folks need to really get a grip on reality. I had just about finished perusing the "whacky conspiracy theories" thread and I guess some of you were so seriously off your collective rockers that you even managed to get THAT thread closed before I could catch up; a thread designed SPECIFICALLY for far out crazy people and off the rails ideas.

Which was a shame in its own way because I found it absolutely hilarious and I barely had time to get started reading it (I live in St. Augustine and got clobbered by Matthew) but in a larger, more general sense it's probably a good idea that the mods said "enough" and subtly encouraged you lunatics to go outside and get a breath of fresh air. Unless you're afriad of the "chemtrails". Jesus Christ.

I can't believe some of the insane horseshit I've been reading in these threads. I honestly can't. It's funny sometimes but very depressing at others. As an empathatic person myself, I feel bad for people that subscribe to this whacked out stupidity because it must be positively exhausting for someone who views the world through that sort of lens to even get out of bed in the morning, brush their teeth and tie their god damned shoes. Probably secretly afraid of flouride or something. I honestly worry about what sort of world my 5 year old son is going to face knowing that there's actually members of society who not only entertain this level of horseshittery and give it the time of day but who actually fucking BELIEVE IT.

And before anyone tells me to "just leave", fuck off. Someone has to ground these threads in something reseambling reality and sanity and my thoughts are as valid as anyones. UNless we just want to reduce the org to a bunch of conspiracy minded paranoid internet detectives circle jerking each other as they look for "suspicous" things and "crack the case".

p.s. We landed on the moon.

Oh, I agree with every observation and thing you've said. But seeing that highlighted part in print was just a punch in the stomach-its so freaking true. He was so brilliant and beloved by so many, yet never had many who really knew him and loved the man, not the artist. It pains my heart.

I've addressed them plenty, point by point, amongst several of these idiotic threads, but I can't keep up with nor cobat the craziness. I had a hurricane to deal with on top of it so I'm way behind. Myself and a few other sane, rational people have attempted to talk the lunatics down from the ledge (just check my post history if you need a point by point breakdown) but I doubt it will matter anyway.

When the final word is said on the matter (and it WILL happen once the authorities figure out where the fent pills came from), probably well over half of the people I'm calling out will refuse to believe it anyway and view the truth of the matter as further evidence of some stupid conspiracy or coverup.

Yeah. I'm mad. Stupidity and paranoia tends to really get my goat.

I maybe misuing the term recluse, but that's how I perceive him. Yes, he was out and about-and with people. I just wonder how many genuine, stick by you for you, don't want a thing from you, will drop everything if you need me kinda friends he had? I'm thinking that list gets much smaller. And he was a loner, a true introvert. He could spend hours alone, just creating and time was of no meaning. I just keep wishing there had been just one person, just one, that could have been there. sad

I just noticed that in Graffiti Bridge, one of George Clinton's bandmembers is credited as Chris "Doctor D" Worthy.

I can't find any other info about this guy or any association with P-Funk.

Is it at all possible that Prince's alleged dealer has been hiding in plain sight this whole time?

Check the movie credits for yourself.

Ok. I will check out your previous posts. I think there are a lot of people on here who are still traumatized by Prince's shocking death. All the secrecy from the Prince camp and the lack of information from the authorities isn't helping. How his death has been handled (no public funeral etc.) Tyka saying the tribute concert is to give fans closure knowing full well the concert wouldn't be televised or online. I don't think many people on here are feeling closure so I don't blame them for wanting share their theories while they wait for the investigation to be over. I know its helping me.

btw I'm sorry u had to go through a hurricane. Hope everybody is ok?

that's interesting. iirc, the dealer said he had been supplying prince for ages and that he used perc and fentynl patches. if we stick to "the offical documents" neither of those things fit. the reports said he hadn'ttaken fentyl for an extended period of time. also no report, that i remember, of percocet in his system.

==

still might be that guy though. george was still using during that time.

Don't also overlook the ESTATE thread.

Some of you also check out the Estate thread because there are some more clues of getting some answers of the mystery surrounding Prince's death.
