@laurarichardson, I heard that too about the little boy at PP in the 90's!

....or more likely, the little boy belonged to a band member or employee. Like the little girl in today's story about the piano tuner, sometimes kids go to work with a parent.

There is NO "seems to question". These court proceedings were only on the subject of the children of John L and the heirship questions of Duane's offspring. Mattie's children were not the topic, which is why they were not mentioned.

There will be separate court proceedings for Omarr and Alfred.

I do not speak nonsense. Rather, I clean up misunderstandings.

Are you having a reading comprehension problem. Did I not state that this was explained and I went back and read the docs. I did not ask or need you to clean up anything.

As long as you're making "seems to question" statements, someone needs to do that.

I honestly don't think that Prince gave a second thought to what might happen with his money AFTER he was gone.

For the Vault, I have a feeling that not having a will is his way of taking a passive stance on the contents. As in, being a JW might preclude him from releasing some raunchy early stuff… but as a human, deep down, he loves these things he's created and didn't want to destroy them. So he leaves them in there unreleased…passively satisfying his JW beliefs, but knowing all along that SOMEDAY they'd be released by others after he was gone.

Any music released posthumously no longer has bearing on Prince's spiritual journey. He's gone.

I agree with you, I do not think he cared about what happened to his money after he passed. I do believe he left us the music in the vault so his legacy would last

I totally AGREE with you on this..

I dont think he even went as far as thinking about "what will happen when Im gone?"
Not his style...He was all about the NOW and getting back home..

He knew you take nothing with you, so leaving it all behind was a given...

Nothing selfish ..he was a realist ..in his own Surreal kind of way...smile

ooohhh. Now it makes sense.

The four Prince siblings or half-siblings ordered to undergo genetic testing all claim John L. Nelson as their father. Susan Link, head of estate planning for Minneapolis-based Maslon, said the judge may have ordered them tested because of the claimants who said John L. Nelson wasn't actually Prince's father - even though he threw out those claims.

The two that don't need to be tested - Baker and Jackson - claim relation to Prince through a common mother, Mattie Shaw, but different fathers

If the judge is concerned that the half-siblings may not be actual children of John L. Nelson, but did not require testing for Omar or Alfred, why would he require Tyka to undergo testing? Does he think she and Prince have different mothers?

Maybe Prince was really an alien - or left at the doorstep? What am I missing?

Yes, he was living in their so his personal things would be there, as well as music equiptment, the vault contents and of course any documents or papers. I would not be surprised if they have not been hauling things out for security puposes for a while now.

You make very good points. I always had the impression if Prince had kids, he would have been involved. I often times wondered if he wanted kids, but was scared to. The reason being that with kids, his focus on music would be compromised. I am not sure that is the best word to use.

If he made the children and mother sign NDA's, that is kinda messed up too. The child should come before the image of Prince. That is my opinion. Not dogging anyone.

--- He could have a relationship with these children and just did not want the public to know he had a private life away from the public. Look at Clint Eastwood he had two additional children with a stewards in the 80s took care of the kids and the mom. The public knew nothing about these kids until Scott Eastwood started to pursue his acting carreer.

PRINCEEverything Must Go ...ESTATE READY TO DUMP PROPERTIES

8/1/2016 8:54 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0606-prince-getty-8Prince's massive real estate holdings are about to hit the open market ... if his estate gets a judge's approval.

The special administrator of Prince's estate has filed a request to start unloading various real estate holdings. It won't be a fire sale though ... according to the docs, the estate says it will only accept offers that are at least 90% of fair market value.

It's unclear exactly which of his properties will be for sale -- the court has sealed that part of the request -- but Prince is known to have real estate in Minnesota, Beverly Hills, New York and possibly more. His Minnesota holdings alone have been estimated at nearly $30 mil.

The move is a sign Prince's heirs are looking to liquidate his assets rather than hold onto 'em for sentimental reasons.

The judge still needs to sign off on the deal.

They are not selling Paisley Park and it makes sense to sell the properties because of the expense of maintaining them and I doubt his siblings may not want to be bothered with it. They inheirited so it is up to them. It appears that a few were put up for sale by Prince in January.

I think the journalist is being overdramatic here. Prince owned a LOT of property around the world. It makes sense to sell some of them if there's a huge tax bill due at the end of the year. And, the family isn't going to be sentimental about all his properties but only the main ones...like Paisley Park, which I'm sure is not going to be sold at this point.

What appeals are you speaking of? All the claims with exception of Duane decendents were total bull. Those people will have to come back with some spectacular evidence just to get a DNA test.

Do you think Claire Boyd should be appealing? At this point the only thing that appears to be hanging out there are the results of the DNA test for the sibs and Duane kids. I am still not sure if their are others people claiming to be children since that info is sealed but a DNA would take them out of the running if they fail. I doubt this is going to be going on much longer since the cut off for claims have is passed.

They have totaled up the assets and appear to be ready to liquidate and hopfully start putting out unrealsed stuff to make money. I am sure the fees can be taken care of out of the real estate which was estimated at 30 million.

I have a question for any lawyers lurking: Did the judge's ruling about heirs last week end any speculation about possible children in the mix? I've been following this thread and skimmed the documents but it's all a bit confusing. Are the remaining two sealed filings P's niece and grandniece? If so, then it strikes me as odd that we know the ruling about them by name (or am I confusing articles about the ruling with the ruling itself)? Then, I've read in a few places -- I think on this site -- that possible offspring have until September to file. It strikes me that this is untrue, since it appears that the filing date has passed, but I don't trust my understanding of the situation.

Anyway, if the ruling of the court last week has truly narrowed the list of possible heirs, then we have our answer about possible children, right (except for any secret trusts I guess...but it seems that'd get out at some point)?

This is TMZ not journalist just hacks. I have been saying all along it is obvious how they slant things. Why not look at the amazing amount of Real Estate Prince owned and how his family will never have to worry about money. He took care of his sibs, parents and a whole lot of other people abd money was still around when he left this earth. Nothing bad about any of that but the article did not go in that direction.

Yeah, TMZ is not exactly a good example of journalism. They tend to go for the dramatic. neutral
