Incorrect on both counts

Mattie is Omar's mother so the judge appears to be ruling out Mattie's children. Alfred is in a VA Hospital for mental issues. Tyka spoke about visting him at VA his Birthday a few years ago on her Facebook page. Charles Smith (Prince's cousin)said years ago he came back from Vietanam messed up and went into the mental ward.

So they're narrowing down siblings too?

thanks for the document- so much in it! I have so much respect for this judge, who seems to be working through this so carefully and with such diligence. I just read it all. To answer, they are not narrowing down siblings, but instead testing to see if 2 more might be added ( brianna and VN).

To clarify for anyone concerned about Omar Baker and Alfred ( frank alonzo ) Jackson (Prince's half siblings, they all share a mom- Mattie), they have already been established as half siblings, so that's already done and not being questioned or changed. (see court docs 7/20 confirming they by law recognised as half siblings). This order that came out today wasnt dealing with them but was looking at other matters. So this isn't in question.

As for the genetic testing now required for Tyka and the other 3 half siblings (John, Norrine and Sharon) all of whom have John L legally recognised as their dad, these 4 are already recognised by law as Prince's sibling or half sibling (see 7/20 docs), so that's not at stake. The reason the judge seems to be ordering them to have genetic testing now is to test out whether there is a match with Brianna and VN who are claiming Duane ( Brianna's Dad and VN's granddad) is the son of John L. The judge recognises their may have a valid claim and is giving them the opportunity to prove it. Will be interesting to see how Tyka and the other 3 half siblings feel about submitting to the tests, especially since on 7/25 Tyka and the other 5 siblings ( ie including omar and alfred) filed a petition asking to be declared as the heirs.

On another topic, regarding potential children- in this order the judge disqualified Children 1-5 ( though he left door open in case child 1 can prove they were adopted by prince, though they seem to have no evidence). However from my reading of the docs, it seems that leaves 2 more potential heirs unaccounted for here, as in the previous documents regarding claims there were 7 claimants. ( 7 are listed in this court doc 7/22 order sealing heirship affadavits.) so I guess two are still being considered.

THANK YOU for this!! I knew I saw somewhere about 7. That number stuck in my head all day after reading this but I could not remember where I saw this regarding heirship. After seeing that 5 had been eliminated, I kept trying to figure out where are the 2 others or did I imagine it. Thanks again. Can't say I don't have brain cramps sometimes, but in this case... lol

Judge Eide has issued an order excluding several parties as heirs:

April Seward, Martha Samuels, James Womack, Priscilla Williams, Lorraine Huddleston, Dana Nettles, Jonette Carter, Michael Samuels, Nicole White, Michael Darling, Mia Dragojevich, Claire Boyd and Maurice Soledad are excluded as heirs of the Decedent’s Estate as a matter of law.... The following persons claiming to be the father of the Decedent, or the descendant of the father of the Decedent, and that the father of the Decedent is someone other than John L. Nelson, are excluded as heirs of the Decedent as a matter of law: Loyal James Gresham, Jr., Loya Wilson, Loyal James Gresham III, Darcell Johnston, Orrine Gresham, Paul Leonard Newman, Regina Sorenson, Haywood Nelson, Sr., Roskco Motes, Alfred Jackson, Sr. and Venita Jackson-Leverette.

The order also has denied the paternity claims of 5 unidentified persons claiming to be Prince's children, and requires Brianna Nelson, V.N. [Victoria], John Nelson, Norrine Nelson, Sharon Nelson and Tyka Nelson to undergo genetic testing.

.

Their article is misleading.

It leaves out Alfred and Omarr, who are not included in this week's rulings.

They will not be omitted; whoever is representing Alfred (and when Omarr settles on an attorney), they'll get their chances.

There still is a total of eight sibling/survivor potential heirs.

.

SMO added an update to their paternity test story as well:

Update, 7/29/16: Reuters reports that a Minnesota judge today disallowed the claims of 29 people related to, or claiming to be related to Prince Rogers Nelson.

http://www.reuters.com/ar...SKCN10925B.

The man who is the subject of this story, was not among the claims disallowed today.

I wish this article had not ben published. .whoever this person is, must think long and hard before filing a claim..All their privacy out the window, in exchange for $$..which although it would be their legal right to claim, still makes it seem like that's what they're in it for. ..makes me sad..

But the deadline is passed for filing claims, that's what I thought? So what's this just someone trying to cash in on the tabloid dollar? That way it doesn't need to be true they still get a little attention and cash.

--- It is a made up story to clicks on the on-line version of some periodical no one cares would pay any attention to other wise. If this person exsist they are just trying to get some press and money from the stupid tabloid media. No official claim with the court means no chance of getting any money from the estate.

Again, no idea if there is any truth to the piece, just dealing with what the article says on the surface.

Yes, the article has said all along they have not filed a claim.

The article also says they have not filed yet to preserve privacy, and this SMO piece is not going to get them any tabloid money as it's a local freebie paper with mainly local news (the lab discussed is an SMO lab). So they would have to go forward elsewhere to an actual tabloid to get tabloid money.

Perhaps this person is connected to the earlier story about the law firm having confidential information it wanted to share with the court? That this man is Prince's son and Prince provided for him and his mother all these years as someone else mentioned. The keep quiet kind of arrangement.

THAT could be why the mother would not tout her child as Prince's son. Not to mention security issues. Perhaps Prince knew about the boy, provided for the boy and his mother--in an arrangement that was hidden.

The one news story talked about the son being in negotiations with the estate.

He might well want to learn to use his father's PP as his fortress now... whoa...

Did any women claim to be his daughter? Of the two legal children we know about, one was a boy the other a girl.

99% proof of a sole heir but we don't want to make a claim because we want to keep this private so we put it in public print. Yep makes perfect sense.

RadarOnline is not exactly what I would call a reliable source. Nevertheless, the article got me to thinking about how would this person get Prince's DNA to compare against. So one possibility is that a DNA test was done while Prince was alive and they have the results.

According to the RadarOnline article, Tyka and siblings submitted this document urging for a determination of heirs to be made to sort of force the court to state whether or not their is another heir. I wondered why they filed that document because I didn't think that it was necessary. This potential situation could be why the document was filed.

One clue?

The National Institutes of Health maintains a genetic registry, where results are voluntarily submitted by testing organizations.

Testing organizations may also share results.

I'm not sure, but it's possible Prince's DNA was already in one of the registries (or recently submitted).

-- He could have put some portion of the estate in a trust. Trust do not go through the court so we will never know. It is possible that this person had a DNA because a paternity test was taken a long time ago and the work product that the Enfrom firm could have turned over to the court a work product which could have been concerning a settlement or a trust concerning a child or with the mom. This kid could be trying to get around whatever the agreement was but I am not sure how they can do this without going to the court and losing their privacy. I also wonder if this had anything to do with his divorce.

It is my understanding the girl will not be making a claim and has been taken care of financially. I believe P had more than one child, knew about them, and had a relationship with them, and took care of them through a Trust Agreement, and that is why you wont see them come forward.
