I've been trying to round up the dates online. Grabbed most of them from Amazon or Modern Vinyl.

Annoyed Lotus got pushed out by Amazon as I know it's out there - only just ordered last week and it said it would be released today confused
Other items I ordered already shipped - if I still want it they'll charge another shipping fee - which is a lot when coming to Australia. mad

Thank u for the sticky!!

There have been so many posts and threads claiming so and so reissue has been released.

For example, someone posted the LOTUFLOW3R re issue was released at his local record shop... That is incorrect. Most likely it was the 2009 european release on Vinyl that they just had at their local record store.

However the LOTUSFLOW3R reissue is not officially released in the U.S. until July 22.

So far the only 2 reissues that have been released in the U.S.A. this year are:

FOR YOU

PRINCE

ATWIAD, PARADE have been pushed back, and THE BLACK ALBUM cancelled.

I posted that I purchased that album at a local store because I did. Amoeba Record Store in Hollywood had about 25 copies. It was pressed in Germany and has a promo sticker on it stating it has 2 lps and 2 cds. I was there tonight and there were still about 15 copies still left. If I knew how to upload pics that on my computer or phone I would. However, I don't know what reason I would have just to make that up though.

Yes. That is not the re issue, that was the original European pressing back in 2009.

The reissue is supposed to be released in USA July 22.

No this is a reissue. The original issue did not come with 2 CDs.

Yes that's the European pressing.

The reissue in the U.S. by RHINO records has not been released yet, as stated many times in this thread.

That was a terrible album indeed. Lotusflower I like (not love). Mplsound is a bunch of blandness. It was one of the few albums of his where I thought he was just going through the motions.

I just received a strange email from Amazon about my pre-order of Around the World in a Day's reissue on vinyl: "The item(s) you ordered is not yet released. We will notify you of a specific delivery date when one is available." When I click on the item in my order, it just says "currently unavailable." When I try searching for ATWIAD on vinyl, the reissue is nowhere to be found. Fuck.

These articles might explain the why the delivery date changed. The huge surge in demand for vinyl records is outpacing the supply of the materials and production facilities.

The vinyl supply chain constraints are real, but I don't buy that as the reason why Prince's reissues keep getting delayed. Other artists have no issues with their vinyl releases.

To state the obvious, there is clearly no sense of coordinated release - it's just the usual mess the fans have put up with for literally decades

I know, right?

On a side note, I tried to order AOA on vinyl from Amazon on 5/21, and they have been attempting to ship it since then. I think I am going to give up and get it somewhere else.

Anyone compared the original Prince to this new release. My original copy is in great shape and sounds fine, so I'm reluctant to get the reissue.

My love for Bowie is nearly equal to my love for Prince, but I can afford a box set so lavish. TWO different mixes of David Live? Yeah...

Is where I placed my order for some of the reissues.

They have Purple Rain listed Under the Warner Bro. label at 180gram but this part i dont know about

"Mastered from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray at AcousTech Mastering and pressed on 180-gram vinyl."

Does anyone know if this is worth picking up? and Who is this guy?

I have that one. The reissue is actually from 2009. The catalog number on the spine is RI 25110. It is 180 gram and the sound is absolutely excellent. Has nothing to do with the gram weight, but rather because of the Kevin Gray mastering. Any vinyl mastered by him is going to be excellent.

Speaking of vinyl, a company called SoundstageDirect sent me a warped disc a while back. I mean SEVERELY warped. They refunded me the money for the disc, but initially refused to refund the shipping. That's crazy. If you send a customer a product that's defective, you eat the shipping costs. That's just how it works.

I had some Prince reissues pre-ordered through them. I'm canceling and going through Amazon.

I hope we get Sexy Dancer and Let's Work too. These are missing from my Vinyl collection.
