destinyc1 said: The Doctor from CA is a leading expert in this particular therapy. He sent his son to MN with bupro with the intent of joining him and Prince in a day or two. In the meantime, Prince had been seen by a local MN doctor who was monitoring the situation. There wasn't an advantage in going to the Betty Ford clinic, other than merely being around other people. And, sad but true, Prince didn't want to be around other people. The plan Prince and his close friends/associates had was much better than just calling 911. Sadly, accidents happen sometimes.

what. you need to understand that when you reach a certain stage, these things are taken out of the hands of people who "don't want to be around other people". That when you "die" 3 or 4 days earlier, you lose your options of what you can and cannot do. If people didn't take this out of his hands and he ends up dead, there might be criminal charges. Let's just let every suicidal person or addict decide for themselves then what they want to do. This is tragic and unnecessary. If you care about someone who is an addict and is showing self destructive tendencies you watch them like a hawk. BEEN THERE.

Cindyt: I was thinking the same thing. Was there anything legally those around him could have done! Why didn't they immediately take him to a Minneapolis hospital to get a private room! This makes absolutely no sense! As far as I'm concerned, if you see a loved one overdose in front of your eyes, they are going and STAYING in a hospital! omg

Reading this...tears again...

But the thing is, he was taking them for a reason. Since they will not release the full tox screen and the autopsy we won't know the why. The thought of some people labeling him just an addict makes me sick. If we just knew the why.

Good questions, unfortunately this report they put out leaves you with more questions now than answers. I have a feeling something is not right here.

I was thinking the same thing. Not to upset anyone, but maybe he decided it was time to go...too much pain and had enough. He put on a great show and od on the plane with no chance of receiving help. That failed, he did another show at pp saying "wait a few days b4 you waste any prayers". Few days later he od again unfortunately successfully. That was my original thought when this happened. He was always in control of everything. No matter what happened, he's at peace and no longer in pain. Again, hope I don't upset anyone, just my opinion.💜

That is something else too. If he made the choice then it would be easier, he went on his terms. An accident no. My daughter just lost her best friend at 15 years of age this past October. She had wanted to leave for years. My daughter misses her so much but takes comfort in the fact that this was what she wanted. When will we stop crying.

Exactly. In addition I think that his pain must have been so bad, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten prescriptions for these kind of painkillers. And I keep repeating myself, but I don't believe for a second that he was irresponsible in the way he treated his body. If he was addicted to anything at all, it would be only one thing: music.

Fentanyl overdose? That is NOT a common narcotic readily available to the public. If it was indeed his physician who prescribed Fentanyl injection for Prince, he or she better have a VERY good lawyer. Moreover, if it is found the physician wasn't directly responsible for Prince obtaining the Fentanyl, whoever the gulity party is, I hope this person is located and held accountable STAT! That said, my heart is so heavy from the autopsy news. My poor Prince. My heart is broke once again cry

I wonder if anyone can say with any degree of certainty if Prince was overusing Opiods because he was in extreme pain or did he get addicted to the way the drugs made him feel? He just didn’t seem like the kind of person who would use drugs as an escape. But what do I know…

She's not the only one who said it, others did too. He told kevin smith he had problems with his knees. Anyway the point is..they were around him at some point. YOU were not. Why should we take what you say as gospel? You've never met him, were not friends with him nor are you medically trained.

“Prince told me he had a sore knee and I asked, ‘Do you think it’s because you always wear heels? Maybe if you wore sneakers once in a while it wouldn’t hurt’.

Indeed. We need to stop making excuses for Prince. If Prince really wanted help, he would have checked in to rehab awhile ago but his "image" and "privacy" was more important to him and it cost him his life, tragically.

There's me thinking prince fans were open minded. How could you be a prince fan and not have some level of intelligence? These are the people just looking for excuses to troll him...even in death. Wow,

Every fandom has these types of people. I know from experience. You think the org is bad? I know 2 other artist's fan forums that are 10x worse. It just sucks he can't be respected at least in death sad

So anyone who has any sympathy for him is an enabler? Perhaps you should try incorporating some empathy into your thinking. The man has not been dead long and you want me to condemn him. You are self righteous
BTW. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone..

Prince dictated to those around them what they could eat, yet he is popping pills. Hypocrite.

Not the place, not the time. Don't let the door hit on the way out.

Don't dismiss others for speaking. You don't think that some have considered this or said it? If you are indeed a truthful person, how could you not think this, since many have heard about Prince's rules, and his way of life? There are some of his supposedly closest friends that have spoken about what a clean life he lived, stating that they never once saw him using drugs, and how he wouldn't allow such a thing from others around him, yet he himself dies of a drug overdose! I loved the man too, but I am not going to turn a blind eye to obvious things that right before our eyes, and questions you just know that some are thinking and saying. That's the reason why none of this makes sense to some, and why they are still questioning his death.

I'm in the same boat with the Bowie thing. 2016 has been very cruel. I guess I'm just shocked by the people arguing about some of these nitpicky points and some of the meanness. Lashing out at Prince and calling him an addict? Even by Org standards, this shit is fucked up.
