That withdrawn interview with Ebony magazine from December 2015 was so angry, defensive, and erratic. Two parts of that crazy interview break my heart now: And...
You know, Doug E. Fresh told me—we used to hang out when he was touring with us—he said, “Man, Prince, Rakim is so bad, Prince, he don’t have no friends. Just no friends.” I said, “Why?” “Nobody wanna be around him, they just feel small.” And that’s why I always know I’m doing alright: nobody comes around. Be quiet around here. I love it just like this.
Interestingly, if you go back to that interview, he says that he has no plans to write a book. Something clearly happened between then and relatively recently, to make him take stock.

.

Interesting fact that. I do so hope the 50 written pages will get shared. As is... no editss. A parting letter.

That is why I want the truth, the real truth (no cover ups, etc) to come out about what he died of. Just put it all to rest completely.

to be honest Ive never heard of Prince possibly having HIV and Ive been a fan since 1981 eek Its sad though cuz the average non fan will believe that eek

i read it on some gossip boards late 90's early 2000's especially. no big gossip sites were reporting just forum talk cause it seemed he looked a bit thinner at one point.

I know I have. Between the removing of ribs and packs with the devil not too much I haven't heard. I'm still here.

In one of his recent songs he mentioned looking through journals, so one never knows.

for me it's okay that prince wasn't perfect. the stories i'm reading from his colleagues all about his weird quirks are wonderful. he was a human being, just like we all are. whatever his medical condition was - AIDS, cancer, addiction - i don't judge him. none of us are perfect. few of us even get to look nearly perfect like prince did. all of us have flaws. it's okay that he ahd flaws, i still love him and his work.

.

but the tabloids vulgar ravings are not opkay. their crass speculations and crude revelations are hard to take. it just seems they will say anything to make money. that part i dislike intensely

I'd just take comfort from knowing his passing was unavoidable.

The thought that he wasn't receiving treatment for a condition that was treatable, because of surrounding himself with "yes men", flim-flams, and enablers, upsets me so much.

Yes!! I feel something happened too and having been pouring over articles, interviews, tour dates and tour revenues etc to try to get an understanding.

No, I just heard it today on CNN w/ Carol Costello Legal Analysis. They were essentially saying that irrespective of what Prince said in interviews or purportedly to others, like Alan Leed in 2015, doesn't mean anything as he died intestate/without a will. MN probate law gives it all to the heirs and it's theirs to do whatever.

It's cowardly and reprehensible that folks like Sinead O'Connor, TMZ and National Enquier to make allegations or use circumstancial information to further their theories about what caused Prince's death and that he was an addict. Prince isn't here to defend himself but when he was alive didn't say a peep. When TMZ and National Enquier fade away, Prince's music will still be relevant.

I feel pissed off about it. Because of Prince I never did drugs. I was 21 before I ever smoked weed and when I started, I promised myself it wouldn't be gateway drug, so it's all I've ever done.

Prince was the sanctified Jehova's Witness dude you couldn't even curse around. Now I find out he was a fucking hypocrit and it doesn't sit well with me. I wouldn't say that anywhere else but here, out of love for the man, but it had to be said.

eek eek After I posted this yesterday I found a dead dove on my driveway!!!!when I had visited PP a week ago I had been surrounded by butterflies. And ever since Vanity died Prince's name and address would pop up somewhere in my day...the dead dove freaked me out.

Hubby tells me it's Prince telling me to let him go in peace. Hubby is as old as Prince and doesn't have a will despite being very overweight . Why? He doesn't think it's his time yet -he's too young. Says this was probably Prince's philosophy. And that Prince's death was probably an accidental OD which is why they are investigating. Tyka may want to sue as there is probably no liquid assets (cash) in his estate (which is why George Looez lent money) and that Prince probably paid his bills month to month by income generated from local (PP) parties.

For inspite of it all, Prince was only human which is why his health may have started to deteriorate when his protege/love Bria (allegedly) got married in 2013 to an Alex Reece. Maybe that's why she married someone else. We will never know. Prince was constantly battling...whether it be epilepsy, sexuality, religion, wives, girlfriends, band mates, the music industry and depression. Maybe he was too tired and since he didn't want to be battling from heaven (trying to make sure people adhere to his wishes) he just left it to his family, friends & church to figure it outshine his fans (us) enjoyed his music freely. RIP Prince. Much love.

Interesting speculations but.....where are you getting all this from? He had succesful concerts and looked quite happy long after Bria got married. He looked very relaxed with Andy Allo, and I haven´t read anything about him battling depression.

Also, I have my doubts that a few PP parties where people paid 10 or maximum 50 bucks every now and then really helped him pay the bills.

I´m surprised to see Bria mentioned again.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
