Prince's Personal Chef says he was sick the last 2 months before....

LONGTIME CHEF: PRINCE FIGHTING THROAT, STOMACH ISSUES 2 MONTHS BEFORE DEATH---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — On stage, Prince was still captivating audiences at recent performances in Australia and California. He hosted a pop-up party at his Paisley Park studio, and there were few outward signs in his final months that anything was wrong.

I don't understand why he shouldn't be going into detail. It brings us closer to the truth of what happened.

AP ran it with a negative spin. No surprise.

http://www.citypages.com/...fs-8238997

"This last year he was always working. Almost always playing piano. He was destined to be the next Ray Charles on tour." (Prince had been embarking on his "Piano and a Microphone" tour, and Roberts says Prince was studying Ray Charles videos for inspiration.) He says Prince would regularly play three seconds of a song, dozens of times in a row, to get it right.

I'd rather get the truth from the autopsy/toxicology reports not someone's speculation though.

He's not speculating. He's sharing his actual experience.

I understand. I'm just saying the people who were closest to him knew he valued his privacy tremendously, so they shouldn't be giving out personal details like this that can lead to so much speculation about his private life. Just out of respect.

I think this was quite respectful. That guy is obviously suffering from the loss. And think about it, I bet he has tons more stories and did not chose to share them. I think it's a piece that shows respect, mourning and someone trying to make sense of it all.

I was a bit surprised at the Chef's innuendo...and his not waiting for a toxicology report before voicing his opinion. And what does, "like at a restaurant" mean?!? Puleeze. Chronic pain can make a person super direct as their energy is consumed with managing pain. And it's easy to lose your appetite and weight on pain meds. But everyone's body reacts differently. I had a close call because I thought that by halving my dose but taking it more frequently I'd be fine. However, a side-effect of the pain pills was insomnia so my body responded by going into status epilepticus and respiratory distress -this in 2015 after using them since 2011. Within 3 years I went from being rosy-cheeked to sour-cheeks that even filler couldn't disguise but just made me look awkward. So all these people with their suspicions and weird thoughts puleeze...most people in chronic pain go through these transitions, have weird appetites and withdrawal symptoms when switching pain meds or even weaning off the meds. The real tragedy in my opinion is that Prince didn't trust people or the public to feel safe enough to reveal what his plight was about and that no one begged him to carry a medic-alert or cell-phone. So I figure that's why he left no will...he couldn't count on anyone when he was alive so why was he going to worry about it when he died? And I honestly think he'd just love everyone to share the music freely now...when he was alive he demanded respect by controlling how his music was distributed cuz he knew mani were just taking advantage of him.

The man was sick. He may have died from the drugs, but there was an underlying illness. Frankly, it makes me feel better that this was something beyond his control. I am so tired of the media making him out to be an addict. He was in control. He knew exactly what was happening to him.

I have come to accept that it was some terminal illness. As a fan, I find some peace in this and it angers me that the media is making him out to be a druggy when he was not. The film that is curculating of clips from the Atlanta show and his final official photo clearly show an emaciated and frail Prince, who was already a tiny human being. He was a dying man who might have taken some drugs to get him through his last days. I love and respect him for this. He was so brave. For him tobe able to deliver those shows in Atlanta while he was dying shows how great he truly was.

I don't think the guy meant it as a negative. If you read the full interview, it sounded like the chef had the freedom to serve Prince what he wanted and Prince would give him clues as to what direction he should go in instead of directly telling him 'i want [specific meal]'

And they kept it quiet that they cooked for him until his death. I'm sure Prince would understand them promoting their restaurant while sharing a few memories. It's not their fault the media spun in a negative fashion.

Aww sad Im crying again. Its so sad cuz I believe it was a terminal illness too. Im saddened that he chose to brave it alone...but I can see why he did. He was so brave up until the end and I love and respect him for that.

To understand why, all you have to do is read the responses of people on this message board to the likelihood that Prince may have been a drug addict.

.

Denails, caveats, insinuations of murder and conspiracy, rage (at TMZ, for telling the truth?), AIDS, anything, really, other than "he was an addict, and needed help". It's shame of what other people think - and most other people think you should be ashamed - that keeps addicts from taking responsibilty, admitting they're out of control, have a disease, and need help.

.

Toxicology report is not going to tell you how he was feeling in the months before he died. The only truth it's going to give you is what the true results of the tests are. It may create more questions than what it answered.

.

The chefs are giving you the truth, unless you choose to think they are lying or delusional, and both of those are unlikely. The truth is that Prince wasn't feeling well for the last few months.

And if he was dependent on painkillers, they affected his brain and he wasn't even "himself".

but they're not giving me the "why". only autopsy/toxicology can give us those answers. what the chef is saying is leading to more speculation. that's why i said he should've kept details of his wellness to himself.

Please stop to spread the HIV rumor.
With all the "facts" we have so far its unlikely Prince was HIV+.
As a doctor i can say it's not likely he died due to Aids
with the clinical picture we know yet.
