Theres another soundboard from FBG "doing the rounds" - May 29th '94 glam slam show

[Edited 4/18/16 18:52pm]

Could you PM a link to this show please.

It's one of the 'A Night in Erotic City' shows in the vip room at Glam Slam, pretty loose and funky show. Great to have the NPG horns on there too. [Edited 4/19/16 0:35am]

Thanks!

I stop paying attention to Prince for a couple of months and more gems leak out. I'll take it!

How does it compare to the Vanity soundboard that is out?

Ages ago I saw a CD bootleg at a record fair . It contained the LA show plus a rehearsal where he played a song called I Hurt Myself.

Any idea if that was a Prince song or a cover?

Its a cover of an old Aretha Franklin tune. The Proper title is "Baby, Baby, Baby"

A very good non-release, but we've heard performances of higher levels.

I'm currently listening to "Return To Zenith" (Paris 1998). It may be a whole different Prince, but in terms of raw energy and musicality, it beats out any soundcheck any day.

Still, I'm thankful for anything that comes out directly of the soundboard.

SITW is not bad, but come on, it's mainly dated eighties synth pads and guitar scales.

Very good, but certainly not the "out-of-this-world masterpiece" some call it.

Oracle1999 is referring to a Vanity 6 soundboard from March 6th 1983 that just got leaked as well. There's a thread about it here: http://prince.org/msg/5/423074

I'd like to know about this 1987 rehearsal as well, I don't remember listening to anything matching that description recently, but maybe I'm just being forgetful.

It's a late 1987 rehearsal that was released on the "Munchen" bootleg last year (along with the soundboard SOTT Munich aftershow), and was previously uncirculating before the release of this bootleg. They run through various takes of "Mother Popcorn", "I Want To Take You Higher", "Love and Happiness", "I'll Take You There", and "The Sex Of It".

that is an exc rehearsal......anyone know about the new mono/donna/kirk rehearsal??????
