Quake!

Love the song.

don't understand why a fan wouldn't.

i don't like Pimp, Coma, Circumstance, etc., though.

No disrespect to anyone...but what type of chemical imbalance do you have to have, to not like "Housequake"?...it would seem that you would have to be totally devoid of funk, to not like it...ive heard it hundreds of times over the years and i still cant be still

What kind of immaturity does one have to have not to realize that tastes differ? Adults don't say "no disrespect" and then proceed to say something disrespectful and childish. lol

My top 3 (based on how much praise they usually get here) are:

Adore (it's good, but nowhere near amazing) boxed

Moonbeam Levels zzz (most overrated Prince song ever)

The Love We Make yawn (She Gave Her Angels is better)

I'm not crazy about the song "Purple Rain" boxed I find it to be overlong, draggy and overblown.I've never been a big fan of big, stadium rock ballads like this.

I Hate U. I see people raving about it on here, and it even makes it into people's top-ten lists. For me, it's just an average 90s ballad. shrug

I'm not wild about quite a few of the Parade tracks, too, which dampens my appreciation of that album a little. I Wonder U, UTCM, Life Can Be So Nice, Do U Lie?: meh, they're alright, but I tune out a bit when they come on.

Took me a long time to get into The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, too, and I was shocked when I first discovered it was a fan favourite. I blame that on the folly of youth, though. lol

The Grand Progression, too. Shuffle away with your semitones and your interminable sustain, ye droning feck. lol

Ok, look, we can make a deal. You can have the last three - that's all three. Then we'll agree that Eye No is, at the very least, a jaunty opener, and we needn't say any more about that. But we're never, never going to speak of the second one again. It'll be like a family secret that the old folks know, but no-one ever talks about, and everyone starts to look a bit uncomfortable about when the conversation sails too close to it. If anyone asks, we'll just tell them it was a it was a typo; it got corrected; things happen in life and y'know, there's no stopping that; but we've all moved on now. How does that sound?

Purple Rain.

Not that I dislike it, but I always skip it or turn the TV off if the video comes on. Its just one of those songs I find overstays it's welcome. Nice guitar solo but when I seen Prince live a few years ago and he start playing it, I was disappointed. I had hoped he'd give it a rest.

LOL, funny you would mention that but I'm a big fan of Jacko but I really don't like Thriller, Billie Jean, Bad or pretty much any of his BIG hits.

The day Prince dies - U know the song they will play on the radio is Purple Rain.

Prince - the artist famously known for Purple Rain - where he won an Oscar, Grammy and had the No1 single and Album at the same time...passed today...

Dude will never stop playing this song - and I don't mind!

Difference - I remember when MJ passed - every radio station that day played back-to-back MJ...I mean every station back-to-back.

Prince will get a handful of plays - and 90% will be Purple Rain!
