Yes I give a shit.........Honestly.

.

Did it ever cross anyone's mind that if he released some of his 80's songs now in 2015 for the 1st time some would be all over it calling it shit? Sure it was his peak for creativity but it sure don't mean everything after is garbage. bored

Oh yes, I understand your kind very well, thank you.

My point is that you have no point and are making no sense. People keep telling you they want to hear UNRELEASED music post-1995 and you keep asking what they want to hear from "that era". The songs are unreleased, mang, that's what we want to hear. Your question has been answered over and over, mang, but for whatever reason you seem to be in complete disbelief. I'd be willing to bet there are still MANY more Prince fans intetested in vault material (or any era) than there are interested in his new releases. It's always been that way and it will remain that way. You've been given our opinions, that you don't share it matters not... mang.

my kind? Haha that's funny... let me break it down for you... r u interested in vault music in Prince's vault after 1995??? I am going to assume..yes. Now is there something in particular that you want to hear? for example, I heard there was a classical album in there, along with an album with Miles Davis and a version of "like a prayer" that interests me... Is there anything along those lines that interest you? Your point above is spot on! That is me!

You're asking people what they want to hear in unreleased material -- they're telling you "everyting" and explaining they can't be more specific because who knows what he recorded.

If you're asking if I want to hear his jazz(y) music, classical, new age, hymnal, polka, etc. work no not especially but I'd have a listen given the chance. Rock, funk, soul, hip hop, EDM ---bring it on, I want to hear it.

So this is as far as your topic can go. Anything else?

Yes I do. I like his post 95 stuff quite a bit. He has really been on a roll with his last few albums. He is finally finding his groove again. I hope it continues. He has been very sold ever since The Rainbow Children with maybe an exception for Musicology. That one was a miss for me but I really dig the rest

I'm still open minded, but experience says that most of the outtakes will sound the same as his official releases often do: outtakes from Emancipation or pale copies from the past.

I agree, the older I get the less I care.

Not that long ago, I would have been all over HIt 'n Run. I haven't even listened to it yet or looked for it when I was in Wal mart. So I'm not sure of my interest level right now on " the vault". Thinking low.

I wonder if the ship has sailed with other fans as well. There was a time when i would n't have bought it and wouldn't have thought twice about the price.

Prince '81

I agree, I've heard the free snippets of Hit n Run on Tidal and that's more than enough ! I pay for Spotify and this new album does not inspire me to pay again!

The ship sailed and I didn't even wave it off!

I still respect Prince's massive talent and having been a fan since 1981 I still dip in here to see the news and great fans debates ..... I still live in hope. Not for Purple Rain 2 etc but for him to just have that sense of couldn't give a *** about sounding 'down with the kids' ..... The last time I felt that with prince might have been The Rainbow Children .... And 'The Truth' was really Prince just being Prince and was great.

So I guess in summary no I'm not bothered about most of the post 90s stuff from the vault but I live in hope that there maybe a pearl or two there and that future music may just surprise me.

Anything extra is a bonus. If you don't appreciate what he currenly releases you should just go away and listen to somebody else. Simple.

I agree except for the "go away" part. Because if you don't like the current album, maybe you will like the next one!

Maybe he is talking about the OP , not liking anything from Prince since 1995 and still here 2015.

TBH...i haven't listened to a "new" Prince album since 2006... what I have heard since then has been disappointing to me... So, IMO.. if the music that he releases is supposed to be his best, then i would guess what didnt make the cut to be included on the album goes to the vault wouldn't be any better...

honestly...i don't appreciate what he has released in the last 10 years... I do listen to others and it is simple... Prince's music from 1978-1996 is what i enjoyed and it takes me back some greta memories... But there is no way you can say the musically or artistically that Prince is better today than the years I have mentioned...

Prince needs those "old" hits to make his money... i cant see 20,000 people going to see him live to just perform music from his last few albums.. Simple.

Of course. Outtakes from The Truth? Studio version of Motherless Child? I bet he has a fuckton of collaborations with various artists that've just never been released.

Plus there is plenty of stuff I'd love to hear just for the sake of curiosity. Remember in 1999 when EVERYTHING was going to get the "new master" treatment? Are you saying you're not even curious about "Batdance" The New Master"?

I'm still interested, but not nearly as interested as I am in 80's material. I have to admit though, I'm getting less and less interested as time goes on.

It's not really about the games that Prince plays with fans . . . it's more about the declining quality of the music.

Having said all of that, I would be there with money in hand to buy Vault tracks from any era.

Come on this is the same person that made the music you are hankering after. What do you do today that is so different to what you used to do?

I can relate because I love his 80s material but to be honest, we already know most of that material, we have either heard it , bought it or downloaded it or have at least read about most songs here and there.

But very little is known about his outtakes post 1995/96.

So, as far as curiousity goes, I am more interested in his post ´96 outtakes.

When it comes to music, I´d like to have his 80s material in pristine , unedited quality.

But think of all the outtake material from the Lotusflower or 3121 era, the 3121 movie, live concert recordings etc. etc.
