no, I will be cancelling given the purple pick of the week is not a prince song, just some artist he seems to like, no doubt for her looks.

depends on how the next 3 weeks go. I'd likely stay as long as there is new prince music appearing regularly. I'm skeptical that it will last, though. Hope I'm wrong.

purple pick of the week is this week "Stones" by The Golden Hippie, so not a prince track sad

WTF?

Put in my cancelation 6 days after joining. Not worth it. Of course, I only joined to hear hit n run...again...not worth it.
I already own all the other prince music that's offered on tidal. I also can't bear to give Jay Z a dime of my money... because HE ain't worth it

WTF?

i know, right? biggrin she sang backing on 1 or 2 track on the AOA album.

this track is produced by josh if i'm not mistaken.

doesn't sound like prince wrote it or anything.

so just another prince related/protege kind of affair. as if we didn't have enough of those yet lol

seriously though: purple pick of the week stinks this far neutral

That a great thing about having so much access to music. Wherever I am, if I hear something interesting playing in a TV show, movie on the radio, ..wherever...I simply ask Siri or Shazam it, and add new music to my playlist. Streaming services do so much in enhancing ones scope of music appreciation.

But then, if you are closed off to new music or only like one or two artists, then streaming services are a waste of money for you.

I believe they produced that for her. And its on NPG Records. I believe she's probably recorded other stuff with him considering she was reporting being at paisey a bit last year.

Change it one more time..

Cancelled. You have to do it through iTunes on a Mac. Why would I pay more for the same album just to be on Tidal? I can play the whole album whenever I like now for no extra cost.

I don't get the whole streaming fad. Wish someone would explain it.

I didn't get it either previously, but I like now being able to easily pull up people's music that I don't have an overwhelming compusion to actually purchase and listen to it at will. You get to continually explore, find stuff you like and dislike. If you're really into high quality sound, tidal's good for that as well. If I find I run out of the stuff I want to stream then I'll call it quits, but it's part of their job to make sure that their libraries are ever expanding and that Im able to find it.

Change it one more time..

no way..... Apple Music kicks its ass in every way, for me anyway. I have over 2000 Prince tracks including boots and now hitnrun all ready to stream on every device I have whenever I want smile

Being able to stream your entire itunes library regardless of whether its available on the store is a killer feature prince

FYI Google Play Music All Access lets you upload up to 50,000 of your own MP3s to the cloud and play them on any device you like, with or without an app (works in a browser too.) No need to have bought songs from Google or have them in iTunes or whatever. You can also pin tracks to your device for offline play, and you get YouTube videos without ads as well - also if you're playing a song and its video is on YouTube a link to watch it automatically appears. So I'd say Google Play Music kicks Apple Music's ass as well as that of Tidal <img src=" />

I'm an asshole so I use Rhapsody, Amazon Music, and Google Play. Sometimes iTunes Match too. (Apple Music has too many quirks.)

So far very pleased with Tidal.
I honestly dont buy cds or lps anymore outside of the latest Prince releases.
The monthly fee is like a fifth of what i used to spend per month when i was buying physical discs 15 yrs ago...
So I will definitely stay on Tidal.

Me too. I could have saved money if I signed up sooner.

I signed up again after he released FreeUrself first on Tidal and then unsubscribed for the 2nd time. I thought they had worked out all the kinks and he was giving JayZ's house a third try (first thing: Rally4Peace spotty streaming service; 2nd thing: HITnRUN "miss" "misfire" on Tidal). But after FreeUrself was freed to iTunes a few days later, I realized the Prince is not likely to do anything significant with Tidal, and I might as well save my cash.

There's really no point in staying with Tidal. All of the "exclusive" stuff that Prince releases on Tidal will eventually be released elsewhere biggrin

I was going to cancel when the month was up anyway because I don't rent music. Then I heard how the SOTT album is presented, with some tracks sourced from a (louder) compilation and most from the original (quieter) CD. This is just amateurish and as I own the album already on CD, LP & cassette I don't need to rent an inferior copy, so, I cancelled early.

As for the "exclusives", I'll buy copies I can own as he makes them available or I'll "find" them elsewhere. Just sayin'... wink
