listening now. first song contains a bunch of samples, including a bit of "the second coming" interestingly enough!
first song is a fine funky duet with judith hill but she seems to really star on the track, prince's influence isn't felt much on this first track. the outro with pitched voice, cowbells, and stargazing synths is interesting and bizarre. not bad! i really like this one actually, it reminds me of 'lovesexy.'
second song, shut this down, has auto-tune and a bizarre choral effect. it sounds like nine inch nails. interesting sound collage. no masterpiece, but interesting and certainly 'experimental.' [Edited 9/6/15 21:12pm] | |
