So let's not act like specific, societal ills are isolated to one community based on race or fall for the myth of absent Black fathers, being the main reason, behind youth crime as that in and of itself would be a lie. (see this link that debunks that myth; a little research always helps http://m.dailykos.com/sto...ked-by-CDC. Sadly, some people tend to use crime statistics, of specific communities to hide behind their personal prejudices and ignorance. The vid exposes an ugly reality many may be uncomfortable with, so it is not unusual if some react in a negative way towards the contents of the video.

That so called study debunks nothing. Anyone can lie or exaggerate when answering a questionnaire, especially if you are some loser who has abandoned his family. The fact is that 7 out 10 black children live in single family homes, most of the time it is the father who is missing. No other ethnic group has a rate even close to this. It's an inexcusable statistic.I don't know what you are trying to prove with this rubbish, but the answer to the ills that plague the inner cities is for those living there to take responsibility for their lives and their communities. The government cannot do anything to restore values to a community, nor should they attempt to do such a thing.

Also, if some people don't like the video, the song, or content it doesn't mean they are in denial or uncomfortable, they just don't see thing the way you see them. I'm a black male and I disagree with about 99% of what you are saying. I take care of myself and my family and have experienced none of the so called oppression you described in your posts. In fact, none of my friends have had the experiences you have described either. However we do have ex-friends who have lived lives of crime and they often sound like you do.

Lol. Oh that study by the CDC debunks that myth alright, you just don't want to believe it. It's fine, doesn't change what I stated in my previous post about it. So we will just have to agree to disagree on that. You remind me of the ignorant dude that says "It doesn't happen to me, so it's not true". Bottom line, when you have a broken system, you gain a broken community. Broken systems are not race specific or isolated to one ethnic group. Broken systems/failed systems in a community, is an economic/social/political/class issue. Filling up prisons is not the answer to fixing a broken community, but that's the failure of a broken system, yet at the same time, prisons have become big business and communities of color and the poor are the targets. A lot deeper than you think. Do the research dude.

Again, the vid exposes and identifies specific ills, such as, police brutality, which jumpstarted protests all over America. Furthermore, it is not uncommon that some will use Black crime stats, to justify abuse of authority/murder by bad cops towards Blacks, but that belief will not help to improve relations between police and communities of color.

I applaud the vid for not sugarcoating an ugly truth. No need for me to go any further with you on this topic. I've made my point very clear in my previous posts. Take care.
