how/where did you hear a near perfect quality recording? also what other songs can you leave on repeat for hours?

I don't know why I said "had" when I still have it. Anyway, I had a friend make a CD for me, from the old site Joox. It was a first generation bootleg, so the sound is pretty darn clear. It's just not surround sound. It's as loud as my current CDs. I still listen to it. It reminds me of the amazing music Prince use to make/release. The songs on that CD are:

Erotic City

Free

(a brief rendition of all the critics love U in New York instrumental)

Something in the Water Does Not Compute

When Doves Cry

17 Days

Irresitable Bitch

Neon Rendezvous

all of them are the best versions of those songs, to this day.

is the cd you have the 1984 soundboard bootleg? because thats what it looks like. i understand that you wouldnt want to leak something like that but could you put a brief sample on yourlisten? it would be interesting to contrast and compare to whats on purple rush. thanks

I'm feeling a bit fammy™

sorry for the way late response. I don't have a "yourlisten" account, but I may post a dancing turtle instagram video, with a snippet of it playing in the background. When I'm ready to do it, I'll DM you my instagram account.

It is so. It's majestic to be so great on records and even better live.

datdude

Its a great groove/extended jam. but i think it goes on a bit too long. i haven't heard Sheila's version so i can't appreciate the nuance and "revisions." Found myself thinking, dude really IS a taskmaster as a bandleader.
