Why are so many people suddenly thinking the 3EG album is in jepardy? Nothing I have read has even hinted at it.

I'm almost positive Plectrum will come out on WB concurrent with Purple Rain Remastered and get the benefit of max hype.

I predict an arena tour with 3EG timely with the release of both those albums.

I do not think there will be more than a secretive one off or two with the Revolution members. The thing about that is, it would require the show to focus on a certain repertoire from a short time period, a long time in the past, and it would be very out of character for Prince to do that.

I think it could be musically great, if it could be made to workl. I saw Wendy jam with him at House of Blues LA in 2004 and it was magical. Can only imagine what it would be like with a little rehearsal. But he's so impulsive and so naturally focused on what's going on right now. He's about the last guy I could imagine doing a "Purple Rain in its entirety" type of show, that was billed as that and tickets sold with that idea.

if warners is releasing prince's solo album first and then the PR remaster,

the only possible time PE can logically be released is late fall/early winter.

/

but only if the solo album is released in a month or so, then PR in summer.

/

that would give each album a 3 month period for promotion and such, with

PR obviously having a longer shelf life.

/

he might just tinker with PE some more, adding other songs, 'perfecting' it

for a while, as he slows down recording new music to concentrate on the

overlooking of re-issues of his back catalogue.

/

well, in a perfect world.

i really can't see this happening. who is going to write more than 2 lines about PE

when it comes with the PR package?

remember The Truth, with Crystal Ball. the vault/prime era material got all the

attention and the press mentioned The Truth in passing, with some only stating

it's name and skipping it's content completely -while it was a great album and a

more solid one than PE is was or will ever be.

it won't ride the wave of mass hype, it will go under, or even more likely it will

be dead in the water.

the mass public doesn't care anyway and us longtimers will buy it regardless so

they won't convolute the PR hype with a new album.

A few months ago,I predicted that Prince would lose interest in this project and move on to something else lol And now look what's happening: he's got a new solo album on the way and a PR remaster on the way.Even if the 3rdEyeGirl project is released,it's gonna be overshadowed by those other projects.

there have been plenty of artists who have said that they wouldn't play their hits again, and then years later done shows where they played an entire album from their heyday straight through.

this is not beyond Prince. and is certainly something that would be right up his wishy-washy alley. how many times has he said he wasn't going to play the hits again? and then played nothing but the hits for the last 10 years.

"WTF happened to OUR album?"

'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

Somewhere out there, Margie Cox, Ingrid Chavez, Rosie Gaines, and Tamar are laughing their heads off.

Hope PE still comes out (before 2017).

Not sure why people are presuming that Plectrum electrum has been put on the back burner, these talks with WB wont have happened over night and have probably been going on for as much as 12 months, its a multi-million dollar deal! So during this time they have still been posting about it and only a few week ago posting photo's of the test pressing. I think the album will drop this year as planned smile
