So,is this is the official first single from the new Prince album Plectrum Electrum? there are so many new Prince songs being thrown out there,it's hard to keep up,lol

It's a shame I would rather watch Carmen Electra's new video again then watch FIXURLIFE UP which sounds like Veruca Salt featuring Prince.

How come everything he records sounds so slow and flat? This is a zillion times more fiery (ie, better) live.

Well, there definitely was a sync problem between the audio and video, and I can see the difference with the corrected one.

In the first version, it was easy to see it was out of sync whenever the drummer was shown in a clip... snare and cymbal hits are where this shows the most.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the video, is that Prince doesn't "play" the first solo, which he clearly did in the recording.

I like the song and the "new songs" seem to have more energy in them then 20ten did.

My only complaint is that energy doesn't exude from his recordings.

The live version is far better than the recorded one.

Not sure about Screwdriver, that's listed under Prince on iTunes whereas Fixurlifeup is listed under 3rdEyegirl.

You know the deal... thats the famous blow on the strings at the end of a solo live in concert and let the flanger make it sound magical as the lights dim down move!

I don't know how to explain this,but....the rock songs that Prince does these days always sound so.....ordinary and run-of-the-mill Back in the day,rock songs like "Bambi","When You Were Mine","Let's Go Crazy" and others had that distinctive Prince sound/vibe that made the songs really stand out.New stuff like "Screwdriver" doesn't even compare.

Sassey, Genesia, Dave123, luvsexy4all, Ritual, MIRvmn, thedance, SoulAlive all diss this Video just here on page 7. That's alot of disses.

um i didnt diss the video....i am commenting on his lack of desire to abandon the "pop" in his musical life....the video is good actually

Wasn't trying to diss this video. I really didn't care for it. I don't like songs where he's telling people what he thinks they need to do. I actually liked a few songs by Veruca Salt and I honestly did find Carmen Electra's new video more interesting than this one but I wouldn't really want to watch her new video again either.

Decent little vid-yo. Kinda harkens back to Controversy to me. Song is gonna get me by the time the album surfaces. "You need to FIXURLIFEUP!!"
