The site should have every single song version that has been ever been officially released by Prince as indicated in Princevault. In specifics , that means 7" singles, 12" singles, B-sides, Maxi CDsingles, Albums, soundtracks, NPGMC tracks and albums all of it in lossless quality.

I have pretty much all that stuff, but new fans should be able to get their hands on all of this material if they so wish. That it would destroy the secondary market and the bootleggers and put money in the artists pocket is an added positive.

...and new music as it becomes available.

Prince has done whatever he can possibly do to make the bootleg market thrive. There are some who believe he is making money from the bootleggers, but I would never believe that. I just believe that many brilliant people are naive in many ways that is mind boggling. He's genius enough to write groundbreaking songs, but not adept enough to beat bootleggers.

I mean a guy brilliant enough to write the Original "Old Friends 4 Sale," has Tony M in his band at one point, and then uses a great singer like Shelby J to shout at the top of her lungs as a crowd flunky. Same guy. Hard to believe.

Those spring to mind, but frankly I'd like anything I haven't heard. I'm more interested in amazing songs we've never heard and don't have the titles for than ones we do. Obviously, I'm very interested in classic vault tracks in pristine sound quality that have circulated as bootlegs such as Moonbeam Levels and Big Tall Wall, but I'm aware there are hundreds if not thousands of songs we have no familiarity with.

i doubt he'd release these, as although he has every right, it may look like he is stealing the thunder of the original artists (Time, Family,vanity etc) and he's cooler than that (in his mind).

i would personally love a disc or 2 of these type of original versions given to others.
