Are people really complaining about spending $1.77?

After years of no official releases of anything and no web presencse since 2009, Prince is releasing music again. We've seen in the past that Prince will lose interest in releasing material through his web sites if it's not bringing in money. I have no problem spending $1.77 for this and 88 cents for the songs. Even if I hit a song or video here or there that I don't like, it's an investment in more releases.

The Montruex video has been promised. As one who hasn't seen that yet, I'm looking forward to that release. And I'd love to see stuff like the unreleased 3121 movie (along with everything else in the vault).

Pretty good. If it were anymore than 1.77 i would be a bit disassitisfied. If i can put this on my ipod ill be more than delighted. It's good but the dancing is horrible haha. Love when P shows up in the doorway.

Idk, screwdriver is kinda garage rock, so I'm not sure if a big production would work, gorilla style works. I prefer the first free version vid overall, new one its alright. its a damn good song that matters. Would like a flac of the live version w/o intro.

Fair enough re: the point on garage rock. Still I'm not asking for a big production, but damn, this is on par with the bootleg rehearsals of the Revolution playing When Doves Cry.

I downloaded, but had to get the link from 3rdeyegirl website. Some nice friends on facebook gave me a hand. I just clicked the link I found and my laptop did the rest. It gets played on Windows Media by default since I don't have something else set up. I've got four downloads left...

My opinion. I like the song because it's different, but I'm far from lovin' it. Don't really see the need for dancers at the moment, they could've just played the song as far as I'm concerned. I will say that Prince's ventures tend to grow on me sometimes, so I'll see how I feel in the next several weeks. Btw, anyone else notice any distortion coming from the video (left speaker)? Maybe I've simply blown my left speaker, but thought I'd ask. Good night everyone...love you all.

It's all about the performance, everything else is just goofy...

Bought and watched it the video - not horrible - not great...could definitely lose the little male versus female band rivalry vignette at the beginning. Some nice guitar work in the video and he gives the girls a chance to shine on a few solos. Also of course the crowd flash dancing or whatever is marginal at best

Overall - kind of the quality of video you saw during the Gold Experience/Undertaker days...

The music compensates for an otherwise cheaply produced, corny video. In other words, one big yawn.

I agree with you 100% on the investment. I've seen a clip of "All the critics love u in NY" played at Montruex festival--we are in for a treat.

What's the deal w/ Prince? Does he have some kind of archiving laziness for unreleased music? He gives us "ScrewDriver" & meanwhile he is sitting on unreleased treasures.

"I'm your driver you're my screw" Really? this passes for lyrical metaphor? I wonder what Larry thinks of that. Maybe he's the screw in that relationship.
