first of all what a fab picture that is of him....Dorian Gray springs to mind!!!

Secondly, do fans who have been around the same block sooooooo many times still fall for this nonsense?. Do you really still trust P that much after so many broken promises and fuck ups along the way?. I'll just wait until I have an actual product / DL link in my hands before getting too worked up.

Beautiful picture love

In all honesty, all I really want is the remasters. If he remasters everything up to 2000, I will be in pure bliss.

He actually said thank you eek He must have been on the old sherry when he wrote that lol

Anyway while we have Prince in a thankful mood...........

Dear Mr Nelson,

I feel compelled to write, you probably won’t read it so I’m on a wing and prayer with this...

Thank you for giving us an entertaining year, with your ideas and interesting productions and releases, its been like a novel you can’t put down, it’s been fascinating year from you as usual.

Now we have you in a generous mood may I suggest a few requests from you this year for 2013? Hope you don’t think this is too forward as I know you’re a very busy man playing with your guitar all day lol, sorry just joking. Seriously I know your life is demanding with making deals, sorting out band members throwing proteges out your pockets and doors from left right and centre and just basically looking after the whole Paisley Park empire.

Here is my list of suggestions, this is not in everyone’s taste but I think you would benefit highly from them:

1. Some people want remasters etc, me personally I don’t think you should look backwards but forwards your eyes are in the front of your head not at the back so this includes when you do your next tour is to promote your new album thoroughly.

2. Bring out a dark funky rocky album preferably like Lotusflower but darker, you don't have to swear or cuss for it to be dark just go back to basics you know what I’m saying P.

This will guarantee a number 1 and gain rep from the so call ‘music critics’, I know majority of them can’t even play a single musical note to save there lives but there writers, remember publicity in their mags is good.

3. Tour in Europe preferably London. This maybe a selfish idea, you know this works perfectly for you as you made the list as one of the top performers ever when you did your stint at the o2.

4. Now Mr Nelson lets get straight to the point with this one, I know you still have the database addresses from all the Lotusflowers members including there bank details (naughty naughty). May I suggest you dig that out and give a gig to all the members only? Say from each major city (London New York Paris etc) for promotional album gig? When beyonce did a intimate album gig at the koko, London it was gig of the year. Now this would work extremely favourable with the press and fans. Again major rep points, remember people won't stop talking about you for years to decades on that one.

5. This last one is more of a gripe: I don’t think a new website is needed but one wouldn’t hurt just for info and pre released gigs say? It worked well for the 3121 site. Because them ticket touts buy all the tickets up and sell it back to the concert goer at extortionary prices putting them off going to see there fav artist, and Ticketmaster continue to allow this to happen. Again bags of rep from fans on that one too.

Just like to say you look fantastic in that picture.

Have a Happy and wonderful New Year biggrin

Ms Park

Right On Catpark.

And may I say please retire the sampler set in concert. Prince, you are at the top of your league musically as are your fellow NPG musicians. Would rather hear the songs played live than a canned mix.

Look forward to all Prince will bring in 2013 and we will be there to support it all.

I so wish for a year like 2004, where Prince went from being completely off the cultural radar to majorly relevant again. I don't expect that but that was just such a fun year. We'll see...

It could happen. It's not like it takes magic. Prince can be very successful in the mainstream when he chooses to promote/showup/participate/play.

I guess that he plans something bigger than just a new album. Maybe the first remastered albums in a box set? Or some new special internet activities? More NPG Festivals like the one in Denmark in 2010? I hope for the release of old live/studio material since his announcement in the short "Screwdriver" rehearsal clip. To me this seems most likely.

Join his new website, R&RLA.com for $3121.00 dollars (lifetime membership), $1999.00 (annual membership) or $21.10 (daily membership).

You'll receive 7 remixes of "Rock & Roll Love Affair", a t-shirt (TBD) and exclusive access to music videos like "Kiss", "Raspberry Beret" and "1999", 10 new CD's (one song each, plus a full CD of Prince's newest hot, female protege), along with 15 second snippets of great new material, first crack at crashing the website when concert tickets go on sale, a bible, and a whole lot really cool, super awesome game-changing stuff (we really mean it this time!), like cologne, calendars and books filled with pictures of hotel doorknobs. Plus enticing announcements about future plans and a censored message board!

Order now! But don't ask us where your t-shirt is.

Man. No shit.

For Christmas, I got the Led Zeppelin DVD/CD reunion concert package (Celebration Day) and that shit delivered big time. I got a DVD of the show, a double CD of the same show and a bonus DVD of rehearsal footage/documentary of same. As I was watching it (in complete awe), I couldn't help but think how simple and easy it would be for Prince to do something like this and really deliver something worthwhile and professional to his fans, but he's so busy scrubbing shit we really want to see and hear off of YouTube to really be bothered delivering a product we want and baiting his fans with increasing promises of "something really big" that it just gets tiresome.

How many of us would double down and pony up for a 3 DVD box set of, say, Purple Rain, Lovesexy and Musicolgy live shows, professionally mixed and offically sanctioned, combined with an outtakes/vault CD of good sounding tracks like "All Day/All Night" and "G-Spot"? Is that so hard? Jimmy Page is like 70 years old and a complete burnout but he shredded that reunion show and still finds ways to make Led Zeppelin commercially marketable and please his fan base without being a total sell out.
