Has anybody got more information about this new edition of "Purple Rain"? http://www.bol.com/nl/p/m...index.html Seems to be part of a series of reissues in this style. © Bart Van Hemelen

I don't have any info on this release, however a similar digi pack release of Purple Rain was given away free with a Greek TV magazine called "TiVo" in January of this year.

Only what I know is that the sound quality is not different or better than normal version.Just the CD case is different.
It's sort of hardcover booklet with cd somewhere in the booklet. | |

I like this. Much prefer digipacks to jewel cases. Will have to pick one up. |

Too bad it's not a remaster, but it's always nice to see more of the album art. Hopefully they recreate the LP sleeve in the booklet. Wish that flower photo wrapped around the spine, though.

Bought it at the "Free Record Shop" the other day and it isn't special or anything... It's just the album in book form with the CD booklet used as the pages... Audio is as shitty as the regular CD release... And the quality of the "book" packaging is equaly shitty...
