"Completely unnoticed by the public, was an international star is a regular guest in the Maurmer Powerplay Studios. The musician Prince was there after his concert at the Hallenstadion in Zurich on 20 to 31 August eleven long days of music on. This was confirmed by studio manager Gian Caprez. The 53-year-old American superstar has been working with the internal house in Maur engineer Reto Muggli. "Usually the big ones take in the music business with their own people for the shooting. Prince worked with that has Reto Muggli, is for us as a recording studio a big compliment, "says studio manager Caprez. Analog technology is sought The request for the recordings came very quickly, and they had to respond flexibly, says Gian Caprez.About the reasons why choose superstars like Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys, Lenny Kravitz and Prince now just the Powerplay Studios in Maur for contemplative shots Caprez can only speculate. "We have internationally after its reopening in September 2009 produced a good image. We offer in addition to the digital still an analog technology, which is appreciated by many musicians because of the very musical authenticity. " It adds so Gian Caprez that the big players in the music industry to Switzerland because of the generally much more discreet atmosphere would find congenial and relaxing. "Unlike America, here is a superstar can also see a short time in public, without the right to a crowd of people coming," says Caprez".
Talk of analogue recording sounds promising indeed.

Though if he goes the all analogue route, maybe this time it'll be a 'soundpage', like they used to have in MAD magazine sometimes!

So much for being in recording rehab! Here's hoping! ![]() The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
Remember there is only one destination and that place is U All of it. Everything. Is U.

Yeah, no point of recording using all the analogue shit with knobs and dials, then releasing that bitch on cd.

Let's hope so.

Oh man, if this is true and Prince is taking advantage of it I'm gonna crap a brick!
TGE was the last analog album and that one was killer. I hope he doesn't rush into anything. Really take his time for a year or two then come out with a great album with a couple cool B sides. At least something on par with the first half of 3121. "Prince doesn't have verbal diarrhea, he has studio diarrhea...." Allen Leeds

Can't he stare at Andy in Minneapolis?
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
Exactly. So much of his music sounds like he kept himself locked away at P. Park. There is a feeling of claustrophbia with many of his releases (20ten,mplsound etc..) I hope this inspires organic musicality.

"TGE" = 'The Gold Experience', and you are incorrect. 'The Rainbow Children' was recorded on 2" tape, then mastered in ProTools. 'Lotusflower' used a lot of analog equipment in its making.
(not to mention 'The Gold Experience' is one of my least favourite albums...)
"He's a musician's musician..."

I don't understand how you can possibly feel that way about 'Lotusflower'... It is both timeless, and without boundaries. "He's a musician's musician..."

U don´t have to listen to it...
