No! I "adore" Lotusflow3r!! It's probably in my top 5, but a lot of the music to me on 20TEN, MPLSound etc..sound plastic and limited. Claustrophbic is the best word I can use to describe the way I feel when I listen to some of the releases.

He released slaughter house and the chocolate invasion in 2000. He had no album in 2005 or 2008. I dont count ultimate prince because as far as I know he was not involved.

Choc Invasion and Slaughterhouse was 2004 via the NPGMC. He did do Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic in 2000 but again this wasn't widely available until later via NewFunk.

2005 is right, no album but there was SST as a single for Hurricane Katrina.

Ultimate Prince was 2006.

2008 was Indigo Nights via the book, although some may not count this.

Hopefully the new album will be released b4 Christmas!

TGE was the last analog album and that one was killer. I hope he doesn't rush into anything. Really take his time for a year or two then come out with a great album with a couple cool B sides. At least something on par with the first half of 3121.

"TGE" = 'The Gold Experience', and you are incorrect. 'The Rainbow Children' was recorded on 2" tape, then mastered in ProTools. 'Lotusflower' used a lot of analog equipment in its making.

(not to mention 'The Gold Experience' is one of my least favourite albums...)

I'm not sure why you think that analog recording equipment vs digital recording equipment is going to really affect Prince's sound or creative output.

The recording process is the same. The editing is just easier on a digital system.
