I guess I'm not alone with the age gap thing...

Yeah, but still its up them and they will have to deal with their problems when it arises and it will. A lot of them big stars are at it look at Madonna and Ronnie Wood etc. Its all to do with power and money. These young model type people having flings with old men and women wouldn't look at them twice if the weren't famous and rich and would tell them to get lost if they stepped near them, but as I said thats there problem not mine.

This is one very important issue that we have in this country and around the world. Money and Fame enable a person to have freedom's the average person doesn't have. People in the public eye are dominating the world by example.

When it is known that it takes a "Village to raise a child," We are going to come down harder on people that do not set a great example for today's children.

With "Fame," comes a level of responsibility that should have, "Requirements," attatched to behavior. Someone from anywhere should live their lives as responsibly as they can as they are aging, however, there is a difference between the "life of a stripper," in that concealed environment and the "life of a stripper," on television.

It's an uphill climb to the finish line.

SodaShoes, you keep ignoring the people asking if you are the poster formerly known as Tame, are you?

Why in the world would you go celibate because of someone you don't really even know? If you think Prince has been totally celibate, I think you're deluded. Of course, there are different 'definitions' of celibacy too...but there's no way that man has not had any form of sex, no matter what his religions rules are. He breaks JW rules all the time anyway.

The fact that your heart has been 'shattered' because of something you've imagined and then passed judgment on, is pretty disturbing.

I cannot see any reason why you are disturbed by a feeling that I have.

I also cannot understand how you can say with such certainty that there is "No way," the man has not had any form of sex "physically," with someone. It's easy to assume that he has, but impossible to prove. I know he's had it in his mind. His lyrics reveal that.

The only fact that is important about my identity is that a woman that wishes to be married to Prince is just as entitled to an opinion in this "Online Arena," as the fan that wishes to remain neutral in opinion, or the fan that has stolen Prince's material in some fashion.

My heart is not "Shattered," I care about Prince's overall delivery. I care about the man that sings, "Holy River," as much as I love the man that sings, "Do Me Baby."

Well, you were the one who said it was shattered, not me. I meant that it's disturbing to have such serious feelings about someone you don't know personally. Yes, music makes a connection between the artist & listener, but to decide that you want to be married to him, feel like you have been for 6 years, become celibate and then be all butt-hurt cuz he's playing with younger people is over the edge...

Sheesh and people wonder why Prince thinks some of his fans are too much... lol

Bye Tame!

The original question strikes me as one someone would only be concerned with if they are celibate, but obsessed.

Either that, or a lousy lay. Like lying there, thinking...

Y'know...the ceiling really needs painting. Maybe beige would be good...

SodaShoes, question here: Do you REALLY think you have a realistic change of getting an affair with Prince? You seem to think you do.. i wonder why.

You sound to me like some 13 yo Justin Bieber-fan (Dear diary...) who is really believing an affair with her idol is possible.

For a 50 yo woman that is rather pathetic, don't you think? Or are you simply trolling here? hmmm

I do think the original dilemma has some merit, but on the other hand: this could make life too difficult to live.

For instance: should we not drive on the German highways because Hitler built them?

Really strange analogy.

Comparing a moral judgement about the horrific deeds of Hitler, with Prince's allegedly relationship with a girl 30 years younger isn't reasonable.

I would prefer an analogy like 'can you still be friends with someone who votes for the tea party'?

SodaShoes - i hear ya. Don't listen to what all the haters here say. You asked a rather spiritual question and deserve a proper reply or discussion here, not all that bashing etc

I personally feel that you must not confuse the artist and the human being behind it. Prince is not only Prince, but he is also Prince Rogers Nelson, the human being. A loving individual, someone that is caring for his kin. And he wouldn't want you to think so much about his personal affairs. In the end we are all rainbow children, aren't we?

On a sidenote, playing "Head" at high volume on one-night-stands earned me some hundred blowjobs by slutty schoolgirls over the last 31 years. And at 68, i am very grateful for that.

For fuck sake, people who are critical about Sodashoes remarks ain't 'haters', they are actually lovers of life, trying to bring some common sense into the brain of someone who seems uber-obsessed about becoming a couple with some unreachable pop-star.

Or Sodashoes is simply some 40 yo guy with a beer belly laughing his ass off because of all our reactions. Someone cannot be that naive and out of touch with reality, or can they? biggrin

This is a touchy subject about music and the morality behind making the music.

I Love Prince's Sexual music as much as I love the Spiritual. For those people that have read my recent posts, they know as a Prince fan, I am not happy with the age difference between Prince and Andy Allo because of the "Flirtatious," behavior that has existed between them.

I realize two things...One, it's show business. Two, Prince's perspective knows the age difference between Andy Allo and himself is recognized.

Any man is easily stimulated by beautiful and talented women of any age. I understand that...

Given the Profound understanding that music listener's "Use," music as a tool in their own personal lives for sexual stimulation. ex: When a couple plans a romantic evening by the fireplace at home, someone is putting on their flavor of sound for the night.

If you know that the artists producing the music are 30 years apart in age...would it bother you to be sexually stimulated by music made by this age difference? I realize that it is not "Pornography," but You can use pornography as an example to make a point.

The point is...Regardess of pornography being something that I have outgrown as a person and no longer find it necessary...20 years ago when I did watch some in my marriage, I would have been bothered by a man of 50 years old with a woman that was 20.

I realize that Prince will feel and do whatever he likes.

If a duet album that Prince and Andy make intends to sexually stimulate or even romance the music listener....I'm getting off of the Prince Love Boat. Because of my spiritual growth.

Is there anyone else here willing to admit that they will be disappointed? Or is everyone in this room convinced that the reason's music is made, (For Money, Fame, Creativity) means that no spiritual guidelines apply?

How did I miss this provacative and interesting post?!

I will say one thing. It's a fantasy. You understand? Prince and Andy are not sexually involved with one another. What's being presented to us is pure fantasy and business for Prince. This is not to say that he doesn't find Ally attractive and isn't stimulated by her. He most certainly is. However, given Prince's history with the ladies....often there is no intimate relationship. He pretended to have the TWINZ as his girlfriends but it was just business. He pretended to have Diamond and Pearl as his girlfriends but it was all flirtatious and fun.

I believe spiritual guidelines apply only to spiritual music. Any sexual overtones in Prince's collaboration with Andy are for the pure enjoyment of the listener and to help further her career. Since she is in her 20s, it is somewhat inevitable that she be marketed as some sort of sex symbol.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

What I said was, "If Prince was going to shatter my heart...he could only do so with an older woman." I wouldn't be able to believe that Prince could be in a serious romantic marriage with someone 30 years younger. I believe Prince can love anyone for all that they are as an individual.

It's an uphill climb to the finish line.

I'm 7 years younger than Prince. I have a nice relationship with God. I have nothing tying me down to my address. I'm 5'2. I can dance. I have a decent mind and disposition. I have good taste. I have a lot of love and a lot of free time. I have a spirit.

What more do I need other than a phone call for a realistic chance of a nice conversation to begin with? There are no guarentee's in life. Only happiness would be worth holding onto for either one of us.

I have my emotions and my insecurities like everyone else...but I have enough self esteem to not look at wealth and fame as a barrier between two people.

This is funny. I laugh at myself just as much as you guys laugh at me...however, love is a serious feeling. 5-10-15-20-25-30...years of love.

The only thing that makes Prince unreachable is him.

This is a very nice reply. Thank you.

Just because it is a realized ritual across the globe that "sex sells," does not mean that the money earned from it does not have Karmic debt. I'm not saying for sure that it does, however it could...Perhaps selling sex is a false safety net.

As far as Andy goes, I would hope that she realizes that dressing appropriately for the stage will get her farther as time goes on as well. In fact I thought that an interesting album cover for her as a solo artist could be her in a white pant suit holding a guitar and be "Ace of Hearts," oriented.

Andy straight up and Allo upside down.

Spiritual guide lines in my opinion are a part of every second of your life.
