Its very likely, judging by this thread, that its not going to change your opinion. But I'm quite sure you've hit a wall in your attempt to get people to agree with it.

But 25 years in, I will tell you that I won't listen to anything after Purple Rain. He's had great moments since. But for a scene, Purple Rain was cooler than anybody since Elvis.
