Soaked in banana cologne
No wonder U're all alone
It's written all over your face
U're just a rockhard in a funky place

Yikes. Does he really say "soaked in banana cologne?" I just looked up these lyrics on the dtt. All these years I was sure he said "salt and banana cologne!"

Favorite is definitely Le Grind.

Worst song is definitely Dead On It. I have no idea what the purpose of that song is.

Same here for both.

I'm pretty sure DOI was his first real attempt at rap, and it failed miserably IMO.

Rock Hard in a Funky Place followed very closely by Bob George.

I think the song is funny. Sure, it's not good "rapping" but for Prince, it's pretty clever. I like it.

Spin I am shocked .lol

Riding in my Thunderbird on the freeway
I turned on my radio 2 hear some music play
I got a silly shit rapper talking silly shit instead
And the only good rapper is one that's dead on it

Straight out diss at rap

IMO ,23 years later Prince was right. Rap and hip hop destroyed Black music. No good acts are promoted now because of bullshit rap.

When 2 R In Love is the best track, but of the exclusive Black Album tracks I'd go with Superfunkycalifragisexy.

Pretty much all of them except When 2 R In Love. It sounds out of place.

I agree, its out of place, but it is the only track that I can say that I LOVE on that album. Don't care for the rest of the album too much.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Yep, it's definately the ecstasy song. It's not completely how it is, Peter Griffin did it better.
