Spinlight referenced a certain type of Prince dementia saying how Prince's music makes crazy people crazier.

i dont necessarily agree with that statement in the same context, but it might apply to female prince fans who think prince is in love with them.

he's never loved anyone but himself.

and in context with the title of this thread, Prince has never genuinely apologized to anyone in his life.

i cant wait for the next album though, and the next album cover, and the next round of super code encrypted 'love songs'.

but what i'll enjoy the most, is watching him back it all up.

and yet when people say how wonderful prince is when 1. they've never met him 2. they do not know him and 3. they've met him but do not know him, no one says "you have to know him to know these things"

this isnt an issue about praise versus criticism, this is an issue about what happens when people hear things they simply do not want to hear and refuse to accept and will even go to the great extreme of personally attacking the messenger instead of the message.

prince knows who he is, he knows what he does, he's knows what he's done, he knows how he treats people, he knows how he treats himself, he knows 100% all his own faults and failings as well his virtues so as i put to another member in another thread...

lets ask prince what HE thinks of himself and see what kind of answer we get because the people who refuse to accept him as anything less than saintly perfection obviously need the wake up call probably just as much as those of us who view him in a less than positive light for our own very good reasons

with all that being said, Prince is without a doubt a fantastic musician, that isnt up for debate here in this thread which is about a HIDDEN FACE on the album cover and has spiralled into comments about his muse and who she might be and so on and so on

might i suggest, enough with all the purple fantasies and to start applying a realistic approach to our views on this man's music, persona and other lovely goodies like the private life he keeps hidden behind a veil of secrecy yet blatantly hints about in almost all of his songs for his whole entire career, his endless lyrical riddles and controversial interviews and last but not least, the size of his big ole head.

True, and they do try to keep things on track sometimes. If it gets really off track, they'll warn folks, or lock it down.
