good eye. 7 stars -- looks like a mirror image of the little dipper constellation. or could be the big dipper, which looks similar and prince has certainly referred to himself as.

as for the 'face,' it seems like the lotus behind the cartoon prince is in the center of some kind of lava energy stuff, which gradually takes more form as it radiates further from the center. and i'm not tryin to be controversial, but the next to last "layer" radiating out before the obvious "forehead and nose" layer reminds me of mj's nose! sorry but maybe this is a subtle tribute of some type? probably not, no. my apologies!

also, the 'ten' inside the symbol could almost be said to be an upsidedown backwards "NPG"

thanks, famous, for referring to those tears as eyes, hadn't thought of that.

seems like prince is fond of that fashion style of drawing people. that hand, on the one hand (sorry!) makes the prince image seem like a fake cartoon, but in another way, the hand itself is just grey and white, almost less real than what it's drawing, but that's probably to keep it subtle. looks like a woman's hand, so probably just debbie mcguan and not the artist or god. interesting departure from the mostly photographic art of him on other albums.

is there a thread about the art on the actual 20ten disc? it's one of my favorites. a lot of possible meanings there. to me it screams heaven imagery, with the mountains and river and all
