For me, I keep on coming back to Future Baby Mama. Great melody, great vocal perfromance, some spoken word, not over-produced either.

this song does things to me i CANNOT begin to explain!

For me it's either Colonized Mind or Dreamer. I would put those two along with Te Amo Corazon amongst his best.

It's cool people like diffrent tunes. But I gotta say Lolita? Yikes!

I was thinking the same thing about Future Baby Mama (and The One U Wanna C or whatever it's called...!!!). Different strokes, I guess...

"We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

"That's becuase we're soulless auttomatons"

This is REALLY hard! lol But I really like Crimson and Clover!!! His vocals were good and he plays a mean guitar, plus he looked HOT performing it on Ellen! Which always helps!! biggrin

Also, I like Act of GOD and Laydown!! They are on repeat alot!

I had to add I LOVE "Baby Knows" and "Somewhere Here On Earth" It's impossible to pick 1.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

its difficult.....i dont see black sweat as his best....it lacks a decent melody for me....for me....i love beginning endlessly but my fav and up there with his very best is the leading three songs on lotusflower single disc.....from the lotus.....boom......crimson and clover.....prince's genius can be heard on these tracks and especially on boom....an amazing song...if i had to pick one....boom...

I'd have to go with The Dreamer, although I must admit it sounds like a Hendrix ripoff...

It really sounds like Jimi....
