Purple Rain Album Survivor Round 1 We are continuing with our survivor series, we though Little Red Corvette was the best song on 1999, and now its time to do Purple Rain, Princes most popular album, before we start, no hatin, I am not doing this because I don't like the album in fact the opposite. Round 1 is real easy, just vote off a song, you don't feel is as GREAT as the others (Album survivor is so hard on albums with no filler)
1. Lets Go Crazy 2. Take me with u 3. The Beautiful Ones (Ouch) 4. Computer Blue 5. Darling Nikki 6. When Doves Cry (Now this is going to be some painful survivoring here) 7. I would die 4 U 8. Baby I'm a star 9. Purple Rain (We should give this track immunity by itself) I will choose Darling Nikki, as its not as good as the others, but we really are in the lap of the Gods here, its just not as great as the others, still there are no crap filler songs on this album. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time | |

I won't vote either, but as a side note, IMO this is THE best compilation of all times!!! The perfect album at the perfect time. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |
