Christ even recommends beating disobedient slaves in Luke 12:47. And I'm not sure we queers would have such a fabulous ending, haha. I don't have a single problem with Prince's relationship with Larry Graham, and I'm FAR from a religious person.
Before Larry became of part of his life, Prince was sinking. Both personally and professionally. He lost his child, and his marriage was all but over. Also, his career had hit bottom. Larry gave Prince guidance. He was a Father Figure for Prince. He didn't put a gun to his head. He didn't kidnap him and hypnotize him. He was a friend to him when he needed it. He didn't force himself into Prince life. Prince let him in. Pretty much, all Larry did was give him a book and talk to him about it. As far as Prince night being as raunchy and dirty as he used to me. I don't think it's that deep. They probably just had a conversation one day and Larry suggested that Prince not curse on stage. Maybe he thought P was too talented to have to cuss on stage. Obviously, Prince agreed because he stopped cursing on stage. Is Prince saying "fuck" and "bullshit" that important? Yeah, the editing of his songs is annoying. If people don't like it that much, they can stop going to Prince shows, listening to bootlegs, etc. Obviously, Prince's relationship with Larry and him not swearing doesn't matter, because Prince has been extremely successful the past 6-7 years. Larry isn't nearly as awful as people here have dreamed up in their tiny brains. Everybody who's met Larry has said that he's one of the nicest people they've ever met. People wanna portray Larry as this evil man behind the curtain, pulling Prince's strings. The only person who controls Prince is Prince. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!! | |

What's the big deal?? U all complain about his not being the same old Prince, or he is dead now.., NO WAY. If a concert was going 2 go on in u're town 2nite, u'd b there. So love his music, and him, 4 constantly providing true funk, don't judge the man based on his relationship he holds with Jehovah God!! Listen, it is what it is..and actually its a good thing!! There is nothing wrong with growing up and becoming a man, a man who knows & loves God & Jesus..nothing at all!! Apparently some fans stated that Prince said "If you have a problem with Larry then we (meaning him and Larry) have a problem with you." Now seeing how you feel about Larry, and stating pubically how much you "hate" Larry, and knowing that Larry is apparently a very, close and dear friend of Prince's, how could you put your foot in his house, if he welcomes you in, (at a Paisley Park concert for instance) then smile in the man's face, and at the same time, harbor hatred under his roof for someone Prince sincerely cares about? It's one thing that you may not like Larry as an artist or because of his music, but to hate him because you feel or think he influenced Prince in becoming a JW, is a bit ridiculous.
