Actually, I take that back now that I think about it; she says, "I'm not bullshittin'" on the extended version of Hollyrock. Anyway, I wasn't trying to imply that Sheila was clean or classy in any way in the '80s; just that I thought she was trying to pull it off as saying "funk." All that aside, whenever I sing along to the song, I clearly and loudly say "fuck." | |

Can you imagine Prince writing this song today? Oh EXACTLY... Prince wouldn't write this today and it's tragic. This song is absolutely liberatory. I read something where Shelia E said she wasn't embarrassed by this song when it came out, but she is now. I think that's really sad. All hail old school Prince! |
