The lesser of two dangers...

From the song, "Colonized Mind."

Prince sings, "The lesser of two dangers, the illusion of choice."

What do U suppose the greater of two dangers would be? cool

Maybe. I feel like it has something to do with "Free Will," having it's limitations.

If the lesser is an illusion...maybe the greater is "a reality."

Think you're over-thinking it. The "lesser of two evils" phrase that Prince has paraphrased is usually used to illustrate a false choice.

Here I'll give you a choice, would you like for me to shoot you or stab you?

Since you can't choose "none of the above", that choice I gave you isn't a choice at all, it's an illusion.

I'm still hurting you regardless of what you choose. Arguably, like a 2 party system.

Sure, and I suppose the heart of it, is someone is choosing for U...as in the concept of, "Colonized Mind." We are dealt what we are dealt even if we think we have an option, we are dealt our final decision which we believe was our choice when it wasn't. Our lives may be prescribed exactly as a pre-ordained or pre-recorded existence.

Who were those latino guys he used to have just before / around the Batman era? I would put them over the Game Boyz. Other than that, for the simple fact that they're hot, I would say the Twinz.

Wait.....did you say dancers or dangers?

ElCapitan is dead on with the analogy. I would only add that in a larger context Prince is reversing the notion that only people who embrace organized or traditional religions are "brainwashed" or have their minds "colonized." His point is that those who consider themselves non-religious or scientific (living only by the empirical process) are often also "brainwashed" or have their minds "colonized" because they have limited choices or are merely repeating what others have said. Thus, when you consider that in America the corporations that contribute money to the democrats also contribute money to the republicans, then there is no real choice because they are both controlled by the same force. Thus, if both of these parties are controlled by the same entity or force, then Prince is asking how is the American political party system any different than fascism? And if someone can't see or make that connection, then, according to Prince, they are the ones who are brainwashed or have a "colonized mind."
