1. His voice seems a bit deeper than usual.
BUT he could've just been really relaxed.
2. I've never known Prince to say "Uhhh" so often.
BUT who's to say he hasn't started?

That was DEFINITELY Prince, people.
Listen to that very first laugh.
If you can't recognize that,
compare it to Pt. 2 of the recent Tavis Smiley interview
where he laughs after calling him Travis as a joke.
Exactly. The. Same.
I could read you poetry and then we could make a story of our own.

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

NOT PRINCE.

Didn't sound like him at all! Didn't have the pattern, quality or tone or Prince's voice, sounded much too "regular guy" than Prince, and said ridiculous things Prince would NEVER SAY: such as using song titles as responses - "Yeah! Call my name. :::chuckles in a dumb and very unPrincelike manner:::" Prince wouldn't be so talky, either, imo, rambling on that way volunteering 'facts' about himself that way.

I'm sorry but if anybody truly thinks that's Prince, I hope you never get an email from some guy in Nigeria who needs your help and your bank account number. neutral

I find it hilarious that people will use "technical" talk regarding how passing the human voice through a phone & radio will entirely transform it somehow.

I work with the human voice everyday, & have an detailed knowledge of how limiting the frequency spectrum affects the quality of a voice, & this is all utter nonsense.

U r probably the same folks who'd come 2 my studio & ask me 2 remove the lead vocal from a commercially released stereo master. & if u still think that is possible, then yes, pigs CAN fly.

It's Jeff and Jer, they've been known to (bs) do stuff like this all the time. If it was prince he sounded totally different. If it wasn't prince that radio station must be having ratings problem. shrug

I did find it odd since 92.5 is usually the radio station here that promotes Prince when he comes in concert, which has like been in forever

Trickology

Jesus Christ or Jerome Jehovah, that is NOT prince. Cmon man. Anyone can see that isn't prince. He threw in Love 4 One Another in a attempt to sound like something Prince would say. And it can be proven running a vocal pattern analysis. But you don't even need to do that. His rhythm is completely not Prince's when it comes to speaking. That can be proven in few seconds.

The fact that people still are in denial and delusion that is Prince tells me you could be pranked easily because it's what you want to believe. The way he mentioned Jehovah was forced. When he said Mac n Cheese you should have said to yourself "This is a wrap it isnt prince" I still sense that more than half are just playing a lame attempt at trying to rile Prince fans up. It's kind of obvious on some orger's. And some orger's are just that gullible.

To the people who honestly thought it was Prince, just come out and say you are easily duped by faux impersonations. It's okay we understand. All it takes is one phone interview to compare to another and listen attentively the vocal rhythm/meter of the words and more importantly the ACCENT. The accent cant just be turned off. There was no Prince accent. Jesus, I can't believe some people. Is it that easy to dupe orger's? To save face you should just say you were being sarcastic to get people riled up. Sorry to ETHER you sincere orgers who believe on this hoax.

but sometimes we all need a session. You will NOT be coming back, take your dose and roll your eyes back and go to sleep. Fin. YER DONE Game OVER..

I admit that i was duped, but you go on and on about a "vocal pattern analysis," and I think those who still believe that was Prince are waiting for you to perform such a test. Don't speak on it unless you're willing to follow through.

• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Aside from the voice being oddly off and the particularly uncharacteristic talkative nature of the responses, the definitive clue that, that was not Prince should have been the responses themselves.

Examples:

Interviewer: I hear you're particularly excited about Bria's music.

Fake Prince: I really am. I want the public to hear her music and give her a fair shake. I think people will be impressed. I think they will. I know that I am.

That's some bullshit! Since the Lotusflow3r 3 piece was released, the Prince we know has been on Leno 4 times. Ellen once. Tavis's show twice and performed at three gigs in LA. If he was so impressed by her and he wanted the public to hear her and give her a fair shake. The public would have HEARD her sing live by now, don't you think?

Interviewer: Are you going to do anymore acting?

Fake Prince: One never knows what the future holds.

Interviewer: (interrupting)Do you like it?

Fake Prince: If a project were to come up...and uh...I felt...uhh...was something that would cast me...in uh...the right light. I...I...would consider it...uh...I would be open to it. I'll put it that way.

Come on now, y'all! That was too easy! Prince? Open to acting, again? whofarted Since when?

i've seen or heard most of the interviews he's ever done. this reminds me of the interview in 86 in Detroit, the interview (i 4get who it was with) when he talked about Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories and the interview he had when he was saying that Jerome was gonna b a big star after his performance in UTCM. those were the most relaxed and cheerful he sounded in an interview.
i'm leaning more 2 the side that this is Prince. his laugh and when he says "uhhh" (i think) sounds like Prince (especially when they say "attention K-Mart Shoppers"). 4 most of the interview it doesn't sound 2 much like Prince, but there r certain words he says that really sound like Prince.
