The Tavis interview was open-hearted and interesting. He must have skills to have managed his life and career the way he has up until this point. But being successful doesn't mean you don't believe in a bad religion. Look at Tom Cruise and scientology. The Jehovah's Witnesses is a dangerous cult. Some people, a lot of people, just aren't buying his snake oil and that's all there is to it. That snake oil could be some whack ass protege, some bullshit celibacy story, some tired theory about the "system of thangs", some need to quote scripture but not live scripture, some overpricing of membership to yet another website, some BS about why his records don't sell the way they did when he was younger and so forth. You can like a musical artist and not have to get on board with every single thing they say cuz some times the stuff they say is bunk. That's not hating that's just having your own mind and opinion. We use to only have the clowns and ones looking for attention. But now these people seem to be just plain old mean. There was even somebody that wrote that Prince was messing up his life, Now people with a pyschosis like that need some serious mental treatment. Prince has fizzled quite a bit. Leaving Warner Bros was the DUMBEST thing he ever did. Hardly anyone pays attention to him like they did when he was signed. | |
