it feels the most genuine. had to warm up to the bopyness of the tune itself but it's the most sincere to me nod

Not only are the lyrics decent, but it has a nice melody, and most of all it has that Prince sound. It feels like a minor step forward in the canon. Not When Doves Cry, but it's new Prince, singing a song that is not about "where the party's at" or preachy or a by the numbers love song.

Cue up "I love U but I dont trust you anymore" and tell me that is not heartfelt

Somewhere Here On Earth and Here also sound very "real" to me.

these are some AWESOME, heartfelt ballads. i think 3121, musicology, and this new set are sorely lacking that emotion. therein lies the problem (imo) with most of this decade's work: lack of feeling, ballad or otherwise is the big problem.

Personally I'm not a fan of the slow jams on MPLSound, but my friend finds them her favorite tracks. She's been listening to them over and over. That's the beauty of P's music. He's so diverse...there's generally something there for everyone. Drives me crazy when someone write Prince off with a simple, "I don't like Prince." My response is generally "Which Prince?".

Well i disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion. Musicology had some good songs, especially Reflection. But Prince is an artist and can write many styles of music, I think he has plenty of heartfelt ballads as of lately. but it depends on your view of "heart felt". He can't please everyone, so i guess it looks like NO MORE CANDY FOR U son. LOL

I disagree. I don't know if you can consider Here a ballad but it's definitely emotionally felt. Also, as someone else stated, Reflection.
